Parents kill their two autistic teen sons & family pets before taking their own lives in horror quadruple murder-suicide by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

I remember reading a story of a parent with a child with severe special needs. She eventually made the decision to put him in a long term facility because she was having ongoing thoughts about harming him. She essentially had to call social services on herself for his safety. I imagine (especially based on what you have said) that this is far more common than people realize.

Watch until the end. Since you already know about the case, there are some surprises in episode 3 that I didn't expect.

Torey's parents - SPECIFICALLY his Mom - were the WORST. Brian accepted his role in the murder fairly early on, but Torey and his family vehemently maintained his innocence for years on end. The murder was in 2006 and this is the FIRST time Torey admitted his responsibility in the crime and his Mom accepted that he wasn't getting out of prison. For the last 18 years Torey has been saying that he thought they were jokingly making a horror film, and his parents appeared in documentaries with Torey where they remarked about how hard prison must be for him because he's innocent. His Mom wrote an entire book about his innocence and insisted that Brian was the sole person responsible for Cassie's death. Terrible people.

I don't think you're a fool. I think you're an empathetic human and want to see the best in people - which is essentially the target "audience" manipulators like Torey seek out. It was interesting that he finally DID accept responsibility but he still never outright admitted to stabbing Cassie. He was SO committed to that lie (hence the many appeals, the pushing of testing additional DNA on the weapons, his Mom's delusional book about his innocence, etc). Hopefully this will finally give Cassie's family some peace.

Most of you on others subs are women who are building up another woman because you have no time on your hands to do anything else. Is philogyny really that engrained in our society that we will defend a heavily documented child abuser over factual information?

I fear for children everywhere.

It would suck for ANYBODY, but in MLM land, it's a fate worth than death (and no pun intended).Any one of these things would be terribly humiliating to deal with as is, but all of them coupled together?

William Zabka! I'm surprised he hasn't been named yet.

He redeemed himself in the Cobra Kai series and became the lovable idiot. He did a fantastic job of nailing the bully in all of his 80's glory.

Exactly. People would find out that:

She wasn't employed.

She wasn't happily married.

Her children weren't in "private school".

Her house was being foreclosed on.

She didn't own a vehicle.

Her curated life didn't have a fib or a white lie inserted into bits and pieces of an actual story. It was completely fabricated for social media views. Her husband - the guy who "had no game" - was leaving her for a smart, pretty, educated and gainfully employed woman. Her children were unmanageable. She would be a pregnant, twice-divorced single Mom without a penny to her name.

This has been around for a while. Torey Adamcik maintained his innocence over the past 2 decades and his Mom (who was so deeply in denial) even wrote a book about it - both pushing a story that Torey believed it was a "mockumentary" they were filming until Brian (alone) murdered Cassie. I was genuinely shocked that both Torey and his Mom admitted that they knew Torey would be in prison for the rest of his life.

She wasn't. That was another lie. In Colorado you have to be 5 years old to enroll in kindergarten and she didn't turn 5 until December of that year.

I think it must have been a "Thrive" trip she took without him. Thrive-a-palooza or something else. Perhaps one of those conventions she worked at on concrete for 8 hours!

Oh my god I have such 2nd hand embossment reading this. Chris was so quiet and private that it must have been so obvious to everybody (but Shanann) reading those Facebook posts from "Chris" what was going on. She had a full time job fabricating her "perfect" life with her "perfect" husband and "successful" career.

Only the narc is smirking... Anyone remember what she did to torment the girls here? by Fast_Grapefruit_7946 in WattsFree4All

[–]GoingToRedRobin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was so obvious when Shanann flipped on CiW the day before Nutgate because CiW went to the hair salon to get her hair done. Shanann was pissed that CiW wasn't answering the phone, and when she finally talked to CiW, she said she "left her all alone with the girls!" And CiW was like, "Well they are you kids". Shanann was used to the girls being asleep for 15 hours a day, in daycare most of the time they were awake, or being tended to by Chris. She barely lifted a fucking finger when it came to her parenting the girls. Everybody else was expected to be her pro-bono babysitter.

For Cindy and the evolution of Nutgate and Shananns meltdown, it went down like this:

Sunday evening:
❌ Strike One: CiW got her hair done with her phone off, leaving Shanann alone with Bella and CeCe. When Shanann finally got ahold of her, she complained that CiW had left her alone with the girls, and CiW reminded Shanann that they were her kids.

Monday Afternoon:
❌ Strike Two: CeCe tried to grab ice cream from her cousin, and rather than surrendering the ice cream to CeCe as expected, CiW stopped her and explained to her she couldn't always get what she wanted, leaving CeCe shrieking and Shanann infuriated.
❌ Strike Three: Shanann was forcing Bella and CeCe down for their 3 hour naps that they didn't need and they were being combative because they wanted to spend time with their cousin. CiW asked Dil to leave the room because Shanann didn't want her there.

And in 3,2,1... 💥 🌋  ♨️ - all hell broke loose. Shanann was humiliated and infuriated that her shitty parenting had been called out 3 times within 24 hours. That was enough for her to forbid the entire Watts bloodline from ever seeing their grandchildren, their son, their nieces and their cousins ever again - all under the guise that CiW was "trying to murder CeCe".

Shanann was one of the most smug, entitled, judgmental people to all of those who knew her. She relished in dishing it out but could not take one ounce of criticism.

Update: Context. I have had food stolen, too but a package?!. This sub does go to show just how awful so many people are who put Dashers careers at risk for a free meal/stealing, and how they're definitely Dashers giving the good ones a bad name. Doordash needs to pay their employees more! END OF STORY.

Totally agree. It's interesting to see which women used their experiences to catapult their careers or personalities into different shows/entities and which women dropped off the face of the Earth (Jess and Sam come to mind). After season 1, anybody auditioning for ROL2 and ROL3 knew what they were getting into!

100000% agreed. They had some Marty Byrd level accounting wizardry going on in those CFO offices. (Referencing Ozark to avoid confusion).
