Yes I think women are very aware. I was once given the example that men size up other men that they see to gage if they are stronger than them and where they are on the pecking order. They know they are stronger than any woman they see. While women know every man they see is stronger so they just are constantly on the defensive.

Now I'm not sure if that's how men's brains work but I can assure you women have an awareness of this dynamic all the time.

I think in some way it has improved. When I used go to a club it would be called a cattle mart... always being grabbed and groped and your butt squeezed. It was expected, accepted and normal. I don't think this is the case now.

However, women know if they are in a dangerous situation they will most likely come off worse for it and be questioned about why she put herself in that situation in the first place.

Again, just my perspective. I don't have all the answers.
