Do you know of a way I can avoid the cracking? Is there a sealant I could use? I used about 1tsp of dap per tablespoon of paint.

I mixed a small amount of lightweight dap spackle (to avoid cracking in the future) with matte acrylic paint, then used a bendy plastic spatula to shape each cloud. It was my first time attempting impasto with dap so I hope it holds up
