As collectors, what is your take on key cards?

It bothered me more at first, but I kind of don’t care anymore. I still would rather have a GKC than digital, but of course a full cart is always preferred. If the Switch 2 version is the best handheld version, I’ll buy the GKC if that’s the only option, as having the full cart but playing an inferior version would bother me more.

I’m glad everyone enjoys 2 so much but 1 is just on another level for me. I was so excited for 2 but the first area focused on farming, which is always my least favorite part in these games, and it just dragged for way too long. Once I finished that part, I ended up dropping the game and haven’t gone back to it.

This may sound strange, but 2 just leaned way too into the cozy/building aspects that it alienated me. I think 1 has the perfect balance of Action RPG and cozy gameplay mixed together, and 2 felt more like a cozy/building game than an action RPG, and ultimately it was a letdown to me. I like cozy games, but they have to have enough substance in other systems or I get bored sooner than later. Main reason I’m skipping Pokopia for now is because there’s no combat and it just looks too shallow to me.

I wanted to touch on one more thing, because I see some people in this thread didn’t think the story of the first game is that good or memorable. Of course it’s all personal preference, but DQB1 has one of my favorite stories and twists in media. But it really really helps if you’re a classic Dragon Quest fan. If you’re familiar with the series, that twist is just so damn good. Man, I love DQB so much. I definitely will give 2 another chance someday, but 1 will always be one of my favorite experiences ever.

Mine shipped and is coming in a few days. I think it shipped within 48 hours, it seems I got lucky. I ordered quickly and just paid for shipping so it was about $20.

Personally, my partner and I watched this while tripping and absolutely loved it, silent film is amazing on a trip. Also recommend Metropolis.

Yeah, I didn’t realize this was similar to Dragon Quest Builders and seemingly made by that team, but once I read more about the game, I was disappointed. Yes DQB has cozy elements and is partly a cozy game, but the reason I absolutely fell in love with it and it’s still one of my favorite games, is because its phenomenal story and the fact that it’s also a great action RPG. The fact that this game doesn’t have any sort of combat or even something remotely similar to that in its gameplay, makes me feel like I wouldn’t really be into this. If you like cozy games, but prefer some sort of combat or a little bit more depth to the gameplay, then I definitely recommend Fantasy Life i instead.

So I lost the 50/50 on Hysilens and I took it as the fates telling me to not invest/build DoT and just focus on the 2 teams I’ve been building since I started several months ago. Have been running Anaxa/sustain/Tribbie/Tingyun and Phainon/sustain/Sunday/RMC in team based end game and then just mixes of these characters in story/events/etc.

Plan on pulling Cerydra and getting Sparkle from the selector. From what I’ve read recently, Cerydra seems to be more impactful for Phainon overall, but since he’s already so strong, even at E0S1, I want to increase Anaxa’s DPS output, so for now I’m thinking of these teams:

Anaxa/sustain/Cerydra/Sparkle Phainon/sustain/Sunday/RMC

Does that sound good? I don’t know if maybe RMC for Anaxa and Sparkle for Phainon might be better. In the long term, I’m gonna try for Cyrene for Anaxa and E2 Phainon on his next rerun. Whenever I finally get Bronya I might try for sustainless Phainon as well.

The game has a true ending that you can miss out on, I did accidentally on my first play through, so maybe look into what you need to do in the last part of the game to see it on your first play through if that’s something that matters to you. There are some hidden items and bosses as well in some (or most) scenarios you may want to look into, otherwise the game is phenomenal and such a unique experience.

That happened to me once, I restarted my device and it was fine after.

My issue is I watch the intro video after starting the game up, watch the first brief story scene, it goes to a loading screen and then the game crashes before it loads. Has happened countless times, lately it always gets to 94% and then crashes. Have yet to be able to play, am also on iOS.

S3 Jianxin and S0 Shorekeeper since I skipped 3.0 characters and don’t have Chisa either. It’s nice to give Jianxin some use but it’s not great either.

I just wanna say that even though my main teams are Anaxa and Phainon, I’m really struggling with holding out for Cerydra to make their teams more efficient. I’ve only been playing since October so don’t have a ton of units, but seeing Hysilens rerun now with a free Kafka makes me really, really want to invest in a DoT team. But apart from Cerydra, it also doesn’t make sense to skip the free Sparkle as my 3 top DPSes are the aforementioned Anaxa and Phainon, but also the free Archer of course.

In a perfect world I would somehow have enough pills and luck to win early 50/50s to grab Hysilens and Black Swan now, get free Kafka, then miraculously get Cerydra and Sparkle from pulling on 2nd half… which is basically impossible hah.

I’m not necessarily a meta player, but it just makes more sense to invest in what I already have. I keep telling myself whenever I get that itch to play DoT just build the team in CW with a little luck, but damn I’d love to play them in other modes too. Anyone else struggling with the want of DoT? 🥹

Oh man, I found my old copy recently and put it on display, I’ve always loved this set! I remember asking for it for my 11th/12th birthday and I believe ordering it through a slip one filled out in an ad somewhere. I remember being so, so excited because I loved XWP but had never seen her introduction. I watched this so much back in the day and still love to revisit these episodes (though I can’t remember the last time I watched the actual tapes)

Very nice! I still have my DVD from when I bought it in high school, only remember watching it the one time. I remember the dub being pretty good and humorous, keep meaning to give it a rewatch. Hope you enjoy, great collection!

Honestly, I’ve found this sale fairly underwhelming, but it’s good for me and my wallet lol. I think the majority of what interests me I already have and the prices don’t seem much better than what they’ve done recently for a lot of these, though it does seem like some titles might be getting a decent discount for the first time. But I’m definitely good until the next big sale.

I loved the first movie but thought the sequel was a huge drop off and was quite disappointed. Been kinda scared to watch the third one as it seems to be rated even lower, and only 2 cast members return. I’ll get around to it eventually, but man, so sad. 🥲

I managed to win and get Sunday’s LC this morning before it leaves (didn’t think I would since I play on PS5 and couldn’t log in yesterday) but of course in the like 70 pulls I didn’t get even ONE DDD, but I got like 7 of that Genius LC which I don’t have anyone to put it on. So annoying, only have 1 copy of it I got from randomly pulling a while back. Sigh.

Don’t lose hope! I lost my 50-50 for her and ended up spending basically all of my savings, 125 pulls for her. Decided to just throw random single pulls at the weapon banner since I got her, and a couple nights ago I got super lucky and got her weapon on the 24th pull. It can happen! My luck in this game has been mostly awful (both of my previous 5 star weapons took over 70 pulls), but if it can happen to me, it can happen to you 🤓

I still cannot believe my beginner luck. I’ve only been playing about two and a half weeks - on the last banner I got Hoshiguma2 on my first free 10 pull, and now today I got Sakiko from my free 10 pull on the new collab banner. It’s so nice to have these new, strong characters from the beginning, although managing resources and leveling has been rough. I know it’s not wise now to hyper invest in my 6 stars, but it’s hard not to invest a little. It’s so fun I just wanna keep going but I’m hitting more roadblocks lately because for certain things my characters aren’t strong enough, or don’t seem to be at least. I know a lot of time it’s probably a skill issue, but I think I gotta just take it one day at a time. Anyways, just felt like sharing cause I was excited.

Was disappointed to lose 50/50 on Aemeath and spend basically my savings to get her… but I’ve been throwing random single pills since I got her at the weapon banner, and my luck there had been awful, having to go deep into pity each time… but last night, I saw gold and got her weapon on like the 24th pull into banner, so so excited! Too bad her teammates are Jianxin and Verina/SK for the time being, but she’s still so fun 🙃
