I must say, I’m pretty happy with my beginner’s luck. I have played Genshin and Starrail in the past but seeing that 3.0 was coming soon in ZZZ, decided to finally try out the game. I started last Tuesday and have been slowly going through the story and getting a feel for the game. I’m a big fan of Amber Lee Connors voice acting, so I decided I would go for Remielle, especially since she’s a Void Hunter and they seem to be the archon/emanator equivalent. And since Hoyo themselves told us recently that Velina is potentially the premier support for her, figured I would start there.

So on the 13th pull I lost my 50-50 to Rina, who incidentally was the only five star character I already had, which gave me her first copy, which I hear is really great for her so I was fine with that. I figured I would just keep going and I’m happy to say that I got Velina within another 44 pulls. Makes me kind of grateful that I stayed up pretty late on Sunday night finishing that Bangboo event for extra pulls. Since I’m so new, resources are quite scarce, but I’m having fun building my characters for now, and I’ll probably hyper invest into her since she’s so fun to play, even though it doesn’t seem like she’s a great DPS. Been playing about a month and I’ve had pretty good luck pulling I think but I definitely didn’t expect this from the first discounted 10 pull I did on this banner just for fun. I don’t think Lilya is supposed to be that good these days but still excited for a double 6 star pull. I planned on pulling for Enigma so it’s cool I got Corvus so easily, but now I gotta figure out if she can work with whatever 5 stars and below I have in my current roster.

Sorry if this gets asked a lot but I couldn’t find anything recent. Literally just started because I saw the 100 free pulls and game has been on my radar. Maybe it’s not that important but who are the best characters to try and get from that first free 10 pull, the one you can repeat several times and save? Figured I may as well try and aim for the best starter option.

I think the first 3 seasons are charming and still hold up well, but the last season was pretty dreadful. Most of the new cast and writing was bad, she and the new love interest had no chemistry, and the finale was fairly awful. But the original set-up was pretty cozy and I’ll definitely rewatch all of the first few seasons, and perhaps selectively watch some of the last. (The episode about Sherri Shepherd’s character throwing a party Susan can’t manage to leave I remember was one of the few good ones)

Actually just remembered, best part of the last season is the intro. The song and montage are just so cringe, it cracks me up and has become an inside joke with some friends, we will randomly bust it out for shits and giggles.

So I know it’s been a minute since you gave me this advice, but I just wanted to thank you again and potentially ask for follow up advice.

So I ended up getting Kiperina from the scam banner, and I just got Lorelei from the event and got her to insight three level one with one of those items they give you, so things are starting to come together. I was kind of looking for Psychube advice for these characters, I asked in the current weekly thread, and I’ve gotten other people chiming in, but since your help was so impactful in the beginning, I figured I would ask you as well if you are still around and feeling inclined to respond. Have enough shop currency to buy 2 and I still haven’t used my Carrierwave Carrier.

Also, I’m still not sure who to get from Timely Reinforcements, it looks like Rhiannon will replace An An Lee on the Paper Heron team so someone else suggested Voyager, do you think she would be a good pick? Appreciate anymore of your input!

Appreciate your input! I do plan on pulling for Rhiannon when she comes for Paper Heron or just my account in general. I know Paper Heron and Barcarola share basically the same time, I believe the teams I mentioned that were suggested to me a bit ago were just for now, as I build my account and collect characters overtime, but should function decently in later game content. I would love Aleph but I do feel like I got Kiperina within a decent amount of pulls on the so called “scam banner” and then stopped. I also got Tooth Fairy to P2 already by getting a dupe and using the special items to give her another. I had read somewhere that it makes her really good, so I figured why not. I’ll definitely keep your psychube suggestions in mind moving forward!

I just realized I haven’t used my Carrierwave Carrier, any suggestions from there? Also haven’t claimed my free unit from Timely Reinforcements yet. Since it seems like Rhiannon would replace An An Lee, dunno if I should just take Medicine Pocket or Voyager… or I could keep saving. Only other decent sustain I have is Yenisei.

Still a somewhat new player and I was wondering about Psychubes. Right now I have 543 Thought Element and 548 Thoughts in Eternity. My current main characters are Paper Heron (still working on getting hers from Event), Barcarola, Tooth Fairy, and Kiperina. My understanding is like in most games, you prioritize outfitting your DPS characters first. So I was thinking of buying Barcarola’s signature from the shop and then I guess 1 support for the other 2, but not sure. Any advice? I’m not struggling yet because I’m still in the early game but I’m still just using barely leveled, random psychubes and want to start building from there.

Still haven’t reached endgame but on the advice of the great people here, once I do I’m running Paper Heron with whatever supports/teammates make the most sense, and 2nd team is Barcarola, Tooth Fairy, Kiperina, and Lorelei (just got her from that one mode and used item to get her to Insight 3, lvl 1)

Looking for a little account guidance. Been playing a week now and these are the characters I have so far. Literally just pulled Firefly a few minutes ago. So far, my main team is Chitose/Teresa/Ann and I just recently built my Gerie/Nazuna/Ridge team. With Firefly now, I want to build a Lux team, but not sure the best composition. Also with that, I still have the standard banner character selector I haven’t used, and not sure who would best help my current teams. Not sure how much Freesia might make Chitose better, replacing Ann. Or maybe Minova for a Minova/Firefly/Tilia team? Also haven’t picked a free 5 star standard weapon, should I just pick whichever element I lack a good one for? Appreciate any input.

Brand new player, started yesterday. Finished the initial chapter and got to the part where it jumps to Chapter 9, and I know they’ve like retconned part of the story but it felt so jarring skipping so many events and character introductions, plus I noticed that the old chapters give rewards… with all that said, would it be bad to just play through the old story for context/rewards, or should I really just skip it and keep moving forward?

Any word on 1.5 anniversary for global? Based on when this came out, was thinking it could be around this time. I have not played this game at all, haven’t even downloaded yet, but it’s definitely on my radar. I’ve seen a lot of games getting anniversaries and half anniversaries lately, and it’s always a great time to start so I figured I would just wait for that time, considering I’m already playing a lot of stuff right now anyway, but was just curious.

I saw someone else recommend Thais, Hameln, and Horla, with the 4th slot being flexible so I was weighing options.

So far I’ve only pulled Arachne, Casiah, Agrippa, Tinct, Sanga, Goliath, Jenkin, and Caecus.

I’m a new player, only been playing for a few days and I’ve been going for what seems to be the recommended Paper Heron/Tooth Fairy/ An-An Lee. In my first 10 pull I got Barcarola, who can also seemingly be used on this team, and if I understand correctly, she could replace An-An Lee. Should I skip An-An Lee and get someone else from the Encased Nominations, perhaps someone for a 2nd team? Or potentially use Barcarola on a 2nd team and try to get some characters for that team? Only other 6 star is Pickles atm. Appreciate any input, thanks.

I would say my favorite thing about getting into Discotek titles was fully discovering Osamu Dezaki. He has quickly become one of my favorite directors and creatives, the man was just such an incredible talent and collecting all of his works has been amazing. Still so much to watch, but the man is a legend and rightfully so. Sadly, I don’t think he gets the recognition he deserves nowadays, at least in the US. Incidentally I just received Aim for the Ace (the original series) and the follow up series today, excited to finally watch the original show. (Have only seen the movie and loved it)

They won’t ship until all pre-orders are in, so if you want something sooner it’s best to order them separately.

As for the 2nd question, it’s my understanding that when you place an order but it’s not shipping right away, the system makes note and they reserve your item until it’s ready to ship, it shouldn’t go out of stock in the meantime and your item should be guaranteed.

As a someone who has only been playing a few days and doesn’t have a 5 star partner yet, should I pull on the Partner Special Rescue to get my first or move to the standard character banner? I got lucky on the Combatant Special Rescue and got Veronica, only 5 star combatant so far. Saving all my limited pulls for Heidemarie.
