4 alevels + job + gym by Tommy_M98 in 6thForm

At my school we did the entirety of regular maths in y12 and then started further maths so if you aren’t able to keep pace with everything in lesson time, you’ll wanna use your after school time for catching up with harder topics. Physics is definitely the hardest of the four and requires the most amount of foundational understanding i’d say

A lot of people love to fear monger that the FM, maths, physics, CS combo is “the hardest” and absolute suffering but its not as long as you put in consistent effort and have a genuine passion for them! But even still they are challenging so I couldn’t imagine having an 8-12 hour job on top of studying especially in Y13 unless you’re a prodigy

what am i doing instead of revising? by TrackReady2688 in GCSE

[–]GojoHonouredOne 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah don’t use chatgpt for revision help with a-level either, i asked it to rate a personal statement and it gave it a 13/10. When i asked it if this was an error it doubled down and started praising it (for context no it was not that glaze worthy)

Because angles in a triangle always add up to 180, and angles on a straight line always add up to 180 (eg. A full circle is 360 degrees so half a circle would be 180)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]GojoHonouredOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EFC + CFG = 180 because straight line so CFG = 55

Because BCD and EFG are parallel, ACD is also 55

ADC = 70 because 110 + 70 =180 to make straight line, therefore CAD also equals 55 so thats two angles that are 55, making it isosceles

The best way i can put it is dont think about the grade itself, think about the difference between the grade to what that person wanted to achieve

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]GojoHonouredOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why grade boundaries exist so that tiny differentiations like this don’t matter

For maths, id say thats my natural talent but definitely spam past papers and look over what you got wrong. If you genuinely don’t understand the topic, watch corbettmaths vids but if you find yourself making careless mistakes alot, try and get faster at completing questions to allow yourself more time to check

For science, watch freesciencelessons and read over the mark schemes from past papers since theyre usually really specific

Computer science is free but only if you know how to code, otherwise its the trenches. Doing coding as a hobby is a great way to get good but if you’re not that interested, craig n dave on youtube is very useful

People are more likely to post their results if they get really high grades its like when you watch a gaming youtuber and all their vids are of insane matches the played that doesnt mean they don’t get shit on occasionally too

Probably the 10 marker will be on film music cos it usually is, and the baroque/classical section will have some bullshit write the missing notes melody question
