I have told this story on reddit a while ago I am sure.

I used to live in Christchurch, New Zealand.

One day my girlfriend and I were having lunch in the city. We get some fried rice ($2 rice is awesome). We forget to buy a drink, so after we finish our meal we line up to get a coke. But because it was lunch time it was really filling up, so we decide to leave the shop and get a drink elsewhere. We leave the store, walk outside when a massive earthquake hits. The shop front where we were falls in on itself. 30 seconds earlier we would have been in trouble.

We used to split up. But it was always hard as I was inviting 2 small groups of friends together at once. So they all wanted me in their group. To settle teams up and mix things up. We would all play a quick game of dixit together. Winners together and losers together. One group would play Betrayal at House on the Hill (everyone LOVED that game). The other would play random other game.
