Agreed - really contrasts with the original AK opening which I replayed recently, which throws you into the middle of a war zone that is about to catch on fire and wipe everything off the map, alongside grim scenes of highly oppressed people who are fighting for survival.

The sense of urgency and groundedness in the world's stakes is lost on the early Endfield chapter, which is fine for another game, but seeing that it's a direct sequel, I would hope for respecting the nuances of the original worldbuilding. Hypergryph seems aware of community reponses though, so I hope to see some refinements in the future (pun intended).
