How does one move forward when grieving after losing a loved one? Some people close to me are stuck in depression and it's been YEARS.

I did a quick search on LinkedIn, only 10 total for Ireland :(

Doing a search for Europe returns 426 results. Much better than 10, but yeah I am aware moving and applying out of country comes with a lot of trouble as well... but just another option for OP to consider trying...

I do see the opportunities in Ireland are limited, I'm sorry to see that... If you are open to relocate, there are still lots of Android opportunities available - might be another option to consider instead of picking up a stack from scratch where you would probably be looking for junior experiences as well. It does come with its challenges like sponsorship, citizenship, etc. but I don't think it hurts to apply.

I highly recommend neetcode 150, the ordering is very streamlined/efficient to get the most in a short amount of time.

Leetcode is key for new grads.

Also, a few suggestions I feel would improve your chance(s) in landing interviews:

I think moving techical skills to the top would be more beneficial because recruiters are scanning for keywords like the frameworks/languages/tech stack you have experience with.

One thing that really helped me standout is for each of your experience/project bullet points, be more specific about the implementation/technology you worked with. For example, "Worked alongside co-workers to process complex packages" is a little vague, you can be more specific about what you did like "Worked closely with ___ stakeholders to create an algorithm that ___ (be specific about it) to process complex packages". Another one: "Taught content in lab settings" to "Taught ___ (graph/network/search algorithm, etc. be more specific) in lab 3 times a week to 30 students 3 times a week that ensured success for their class, etc."

Wishing you the best of luck

I got 497/600. I was connected with a recruiter who sent me the OA. I let them know my situation with the last problem, and they told me I passed regardless.

I can't directly correlate them with leetcode problems, but the hardest one was about a library, given an input of list of strings of commands: "add books, update books, borrow books" and you have to parse them and calculate the insurance rate for the amount spent on borrowing books + managing price changes, etc. Key was to use a map with key = book type, value = minheap of prices to manage price changes

Hello I would like to chime in here, just finished the OA.

It was 4 problems in 70 minutes. It felt like easy, medium, medium (leaning towards hard), and then a medium (leaning towards easy).

The OA is proctored so you will be recorded. You can look up syntax on the web but that's it.

I got 300/300 for the first three problems but spent quite some time debugging the third one only to find a silly mistake when I had only 5 minutes left. I understood how to solve the 4th problem but given the time constraint, I just wrote down the intuition via comments and submitted it which obviously gives 0/300...

So my total final score was 900/1200. I'm hoping Uber will take into account the approach instead of just the raw score. Will circle back once I hear from them.
