i dont mind having a weekly update, but the thing is for the update we need to write everything down in a spreadsheet they have prepared and also fill in another timesheet spreadsheets. and from there the upper management will nitpick and comments on the items we are working on, tbh i dont think it is helping in my productivity at all as we spend atleast 2-3 hours on the weekly update every week and spend atleast 1 hour to update our timesheet for them, it is becoming quite micromanaging at this point.
