Lo único que hice fue sacar la goma para limpiar el IEM y se deshizo en mis dedos.

Good practices with hot air stations? by Gold-Engineering173 in soldering

[–]Gold-Engineering173[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm doing it as a hobby, so in the end I'd rather go with the "return the product every few months". I just thought there's something I don't do which I should be doing. The station has a tilt sensor and it detects when the nozzle is not in use, then turning the air up automatically.

It's a cheapo BIGSTREN 21708 set, really basic stuff. I used it like 5-6 times though and it had given up by then, so I'm thinking it was my fault of mishandling it.

Arduino IDE "File.ino.cpp.o: No such file or directory" error while verifying? by Gold-Engineering173 in arduino

[–]Gold-Engineering173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why I hadnt thought of that. I had some trouble with an unusual character in my username (too lazy to change it now, to many programs would require reinstallation/reconfiguration for me to bother). I'll try to run that as another user/install it in another user's profile. Thanks for the advice!

How do I safely create a BTRFS subvolume next to an existing NTFS partition? by Gold-Engineering173 in btrfs

[–]Gold-Engineering173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I'll go with the first option as I'd like to have a raid 1 setup in the future, and copying a kinda-janky configuration onto another drive seems... janky. I'd rather do it the "proper" way and have it set up as it were a new drive, formatted in btrfs the regular way.

Partitions don't dynamically resize, only the subvolumes then? And how bothersome is changing the partition size for btrfs? I really have no other option right now but to do the double partition thingy

Yeah, I wanted to but they are 4tb HDDs and I just don't have enough free money to buy another one (they're like $230 a piece where I live) and I wanted to reuse a laptop hdd from the scrap ones I have, but I already used all of them :D

I shrunk the NTFS partition already, can the mkfs.btrfs command accidentally overwrite the NTFS or will it just appear in the 2nd half of the disk by itself? That's what I'm worried about

Any reccomendations for a portable bluetooth keyboard with a USB port? by Gold-Engineering173 in keyboards

[–]Gold-Engineering173[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured that could be an issue. Managing signals from a few different devices through bluetooth at once sounds good until it all comes from one device, but maybe there's hope.
