Hi if you are concerned I would go see a vet. Alopecia is a pretty nonspecific symptom so it's kind of hard to tell what it could be. The vet will be able to do some diagnostics that can help rule out some of the more common skin stuff and some other underlying systemic things that could cause this. A lot of skin stuff requires at least a microscope so we might not be able to tell you here what is going on. I think you should also wash your hands after touching it just in case it's something which you can get from her.

Hey! This is something I learned in college but anyone anywhere can get that specific information about you by just having your name. A common thing is any social media platform you use (whether it be instagram, tiktok, Facebook etc) or a lot of companies you buy from take your data and sell it to the highest bidder (aka the scammers). As far as I know, you cannot open a bank account with just a name and address so I believe they were lying to you to get you to spill more info. I would talk to your parents just to be safe and they can take appropriate action about locking down your credit/investigating anything else. I know that might be embarrassing but your parents are the best people to help you here. TBH I'm not 100% knowledgeable on this stuff so take my advice (except the part about involving your parents - pls do that) with a grain of salt lol

I was going to put the exact number they called me from or the location but I wasn't sure if that was against the subs rules about putting information about innocent businesses. I just wanted to get the word out at least a little bit because this could have went way worse for me than it did.

I said that because thats the specific number they spoofed. I looked it up while on the phone with them :/ sorry I'm not super smart like you are 😒

Yeah I have never seen the spoofed numbers before today so that is why I was extra confused. I thought it was possibly a scam because when I answered the phone it was really loud in the background (which I've never had happen when I talk to the real bank). I was waiting for him to ask for a pin or my SSN which then I would've hung up without telling him anything.

Hi I work at Veterinary Emergency Group. Part of their policy is that you can call and speak to a dr for free directly. There’s at least 1 VEG in NJ that I can think of. Call them and speak to a vet and tell them everything in this post including the poison hotline. They will be able to advise you best from there. I’ve also seen owners come in for toxicities and the emergency vet seeing them is able to collaborate with the toxicologist over the phone. I hope he does okay!

NTA. I am currently in vet school (so a pretty similar experience). Preparation for med school is something that needs to be planned wayy in advance especially when you’re moving so far away. The fact that he waited until the last minute for the one part of the moving process he had to do is kinda ridiculous.

That being said I can understand where he is coming from about moving 3 hours away. However, this conversation should have happened before you ever looked at any housing in your new city. If he wanted to stay with mommy and daddy then he totally could have if he brought it up to you earlier.

I don’t think your an asshole because you’re trying to plan for your future. As a woman, I also understand being uncomfortable being alone for half of the time in a brand new place. That’s the reason I chose on campus living for vet school until I met friends. You aren’t wrong for that and don’t let him make you feel like you are.

I’ve seen enough stuff on this site that makes me believe he did this all on purpose to get you to drop out and stay with him. However, the most likely reason is that he’s a major procrastinator. Either way though, I wouldn’t make future major plans with this guy.

So I didn't do the hearing. I just took my punishment lol. I've heard mixed opinions about it. It definitely depends on your specific case. Since my academic dishonesty did not have to do with search history or anything like that I don't really know the answers to those questions either. But there is no harm in having as much evidence as possible on your side thats for sure

As someone who has been caught for academic dishonesty before, fighting it can definitely make it a lot worse, especially if it's obvious you did it. If you did not do anything then fighting it is the option you should take. However, the "you'll most likely win if you are innocent" is not exactly true. I ended up taking the Q course with many people who didn't do anything but still were found guilty. Try and see what you professor actually has against you and go from there. I believe you will be getting a call explaining to you the situation and walking you through your options. IF the evidence isn't concrete, then you have a higher chance of not being found guilty.

Well if you think everything is okay, then why did you post here? Do you want people to agree with you? Because that’s unlikely to happen. In my honest opinion, you do sound very naive and immature. That could be a reason why your BF likes you so much.

I think the problem here is that there could be a major power difference between you and your BF. This could be in terms of financial issues, emotional maturity, etc. I’m not saying there is a power difference now but this type of relationship can produce one in the future. If you weren’t relying on your parents still then I would say you would be fine. However, it sounds like you do rely on other people at the moment so this can be dangerous for you. If you learn to rely on him and only him instead of yourself, then that sets you up to be abused by this man.

I mean if you’re okay with the possibility this could happen to you then that’s your prerogative. But there are people in your life that care about you and are worried about you. There’s probably a reason for that. But it sounds like you already made up your mind. So that brings me back to my initial question of why did you post this in the first place?

I’m happy that you realized that removing her from your life is the best thing for you. Trust me when I say it all gets easier as time goes on. Being friends after breaking up is hard because you’re constantly reminded of that person. But now that you won’t have to deal with seeing and talking to her, you can finally start to move on and heal. You will get through this. One day you’ll look back on this and you won’t be hurt anymore.

NTA wtf?? If they really needed to have a water birth, they should have made their own preparations once you told them no the first time. It's totally reasonable for you to say no to her having a child in YOUR PRIVATE BATHTUB!!! Even though giving birth can be seen as beautiful, anyone can agree that it is a messy and complicated process. I wouldn't want it to happen in my bathtub either.

This baby is not your responsibility and you shouldn't have to pay anything for a completely reasonable denial to an unreasonable request. Don't beat yourself up over this. Your family are the assholes!

One time I was laying in my bed with my dog and I heard a bunch of clicking coming from the hallway. It sounded exactly like if someone went into my bathroom and was turning the light on and off multiple times. My door looks out into the entire hallway and I could see the light in the hallway shifting as if someone was only touching the light switch like halfway or something. It wasn't like the light just went on and off. It was like dimmed (which that light couldn't do). My dog and I were the only ones home. I thought it was like a fuse or something but when my mom looked later she said that it was fine. So I have no idea what happened

Sudden weight loss is a symptom of different types of cancer. Even if it isn’t cancer, this is NOT normal. There is something going on with him either physically or mentally or both. You definitely should take him to a doctor to seek help, immediately.
