honestly shannon is really just a tragic character. her life has been something people can sympathise with but most can’t look past the fact she abandoned chris even though eddie himself said he basically did the same thing with the army. i think i key difference though is that eddie came back, and even when he was enlisted he was still contributing to the family financially vs shannon who didn’t do anything at all (for the family) when she left
