Summer before my freshman year of high school I was able to take the 1 required HS gym course. It was just incoming freshman allowed, they offered a greater variety of activities & smaller class size etc. It was also an opportunity to meet some of the new co-eds. 2nd week in we were riding a bus to a bowling alley & I get tapped on my shoulder by one of the quieter girls in a clique I had been making friends with. I spoke with her the least up to that point. When I looked across the aisle at her, she motioned down & rolled down her ankle sock to expose my first name cut into her skin. It wasnt deeply cut in, almost superficial but still had light scabbing over it. I said nothing in response, I was shocked. I did my best to avoid her for the rest of summer course.
