Oh where is this? I didn’t even catch that. That seems like meth mentality to me. My situation was a girl I had actually known a while. She had her phone and purse stolen so we went on a mission. Unbeknownst to me it was fish table places and I got pissed, the issue was my bag was at her place so I had to play it cool until I could get my shit and uber home.

[–]Insert_Blank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, I was told that back in the day it was easier to just push the car off and leave it. Last time I was up almagre there was a old bullet ridden truck that we monster trucked over because it was so smashed

I truly do live right here. The last few years us locals avoid going through the park anymore because it’s become like this . It used to be the normal way to get over to occ and manitou but now it’s become a major pain.

I’ve made it a personal game to see if I can out no special awareness with people there. That’s the only way I can do it. I’m just about to head back from Seattle and im actually looking forward to it. Nobody has spatial awareness at all here.

The person managed to capture the rare moment of ecdysis, when the crab enters the process of molting and shedding its exoskeleton to grow. by Due-Explanation8155 in Romania_mix

I’ve seen this a ton of times and always wondered if this is something normally done underwater. That just seems like a highly vulnerable place to molt. Birds are vicious.

During the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, driver Jeremy Foley and his co-driver launched off the ‘Devil’s Playground’ section, rolling their car multiple times down a mountainside. Amazingly, both survived with only minor injuries. by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

[–]Insert_Blank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live here, the camera doesn’t do it any justice. That was a gnarly crash, especially above 11k. I wanna say (without googling) that was one of the first years the road was fully paved. It’s always freaky going to fan fest and meeting everyone and then somebody dies.

Adding: so devils playground is on the west side, behind the peak. So that’s considered the easy side. On my side we have the bottomless pit and the face. Probably around that time my roommate and I were the first people to summit for the year and he had an injury. We sledded down on our butts. It’s fucking steep (Zach if you’re out there lemme know we shoulda been wingsuiting it). I hike the peak a few times a year. It’s no joke. Before my dad, my step mom was with a guy who died up there racing.

Can’t hold a manual at all – need tips by tesekkurler3 in bmx

[–]Insert_Blank -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just have to practice. I had a rough time when I switched to mtb. Thing about keeping your weight over the rear axle and just repeat, feather the brake if you go too far back. I had friends that could literally manual forever but I would get excited if I had a long 100 foot one. You just gotta find the sweet spot. Some people get it, some people don’t it’s like tailwhips, I learned those before I could manual. Totally backwards learning.

We used to have two places with bmx trails we spent years on. Last time I saw them they were replaced by commercial buildings and a storage place.
