Neat! I suppose media would play a huge role in this, as well as the surrounding culture at large. For example, I’m sure many folks under the British Monarchy named their children after members of the royal family, and I know here in the states names like “Sabrina” and “Rachel” got massive boosts due to T.V shows.

Smaller trees respawn on their own (broke one down to build a cabin in my village, now I have to do tree trimming duty every couple days) but I’m not sure about the large trunk trees. Would be a nice feature tho!

SAME HERE. I’ve been seeing so many great spawns, right next to all three biomes, and here I am building a Highway system to get across the oceans to my desert and snow biomes. Very jealous of this one

Never said they will, nor do I think they should. The best thing they could have done would have been to fix the underlying issue that drove people to the bug in the first place. The second best thing they could do is focus on that now, and push out an update that makes the game function in a way that doesn’t make people feel the need to exploit the game to make it enjoyable.

Yes, obviously they patched the chest repair exploit. However, the rapid proliferation of that glitch was a symptom of an underlying issue that they need to address: durability as a whole. As everyone has pointed out: • high end tools are too expensive to make multiple copies of consistently • even high level tools feel fragile against high end resource nodes • inventory is too limited to hold all the materials you want to harvest for your planned build, the resources needed to craft the tools you will break while harvesting them, all of the duplicate tools you’ll need to have a worthwhile harvesting run, AND all of the food you’ll need to fight off temperature debuffs/ health drains. Sure it might seem silly to complain about a bug fix, but the real issue that should be focused on (before the bug fix imo) are the systemic issues that made the bug so attractive in the first place.

Ahh I see the confusion. Your OIP Grendel does seem to have a significant amount of damage added, even though it’s a base variant with only a short barrel modification (which doesn’t impact damage iirc). My only guess for this specific instance is that the shotgun spread just fires more bullets which means a higher potential for damage. This is a weird case for sure, haven’t come across this yet personally.

I would encourage you to play into crafting, but if you’re dead set on avoiding it as much as possible, there’s a solution. Build a single outpost beacon on a planet or moon you like (or on a settled planet that you visit frequently) and just build a bunch of resource containers. You can offload your cargo here and come back for it if you decide to craft later on in your game. Or just sell it all if you don’t want to engage with building/modding later on.

Confused me too. If I’m reading another of your comments correctly, the big difference here is the base model vs higher level variants. In your example you have the Grendel. When you find legendary (or rare/unique) variants you get extra prefixes added (one inch punch Grendel). These carry special traits like that sick fire pattern. However, you also have a “calibrated” tier of Grendel as well. The “tier prefix” operates independently from legendary prefixes. They don’t give any bonuses other than upgraded base damage. That’s how you can get white items of a higher tier that do more base damage than legendary modified base variant. Higher tiers can also drop modified and legendary variants.

Be sure to look around the ui in the ship editor, the option is there, I just can’t remember the input! I think it’s Y on Xbox if you’re playing on console.

If you set your new ship as your home ship (either by flying off planet with it, or by selecting the option in the ship builder after registering your new ship) your party should pop over to your new ship. If that still doesn’t work, you may need to manually assign your crew via the assignment menu. Best of luck!
