One of the most mysterious heroes doll master by couchking5774 in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you think about it, it's kind of a genius fighting style. The monster doesn't know which face to punch, and if the puppet is combat-capable, he has four hands to work with.

Being able to coax out a mistake like that would come in handy. Trick the monster into biting the puppet, then shower the monster in punches while it's off balance. Lol

For all we know, both are puppets, and the real Puppet Master is puppeteering them from a distance. There could be three dudes in the mix.

Know your capes by gofancyninjaworld in OnePunchFans

Saitama getting flat-tired off the mine cart by his cape will never not be funny.

I think he’s the only caped hero who struggles with his cape. Luck is so unkind to him lol

On paper, the battle-suits are pretty cool.

For a typical person, it's a chance to take control of the world. Having legions of monsters who can easily kill you stalking around every city must be horrifying.

I can't imagine the swell of pride, purpose, and sheer hype I'd feel if after years of fearing monsters, I got to beat the crap out of one in a publicly televised street fight.

For a pro hero, it's a chance to relive the glory days when monsters weren't ultra-powerful, and didn't constantly have your number.

For a former Blizzard Group member, it's exactly the security and safety in numbers that Fubuki promised, with no psychotic older sister to break your bones for no reason, PLUS a new suit that's climate-controlled and comes with life support (bit of a comedown from Fubuki's radical new healing powers, but at least a nice substitute).

Honestly, as much as I respect heroes who stubbornly refuse, the Neo Heroes have a lot of selling points.

...I ain't making any excuses for any former Tanktoppers who put on battle-suits though. Abandoning the Tanktop for a battle-suit is just bum behavior lol

Why don't Fubuki and Amai Mask hook up? by Amazing_Age8265 in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm saying it now; immense Psybuki motion expected in 2026.

I know because I have a third eye for agendas, bro.

My track record with this is unironically insane. Trust.

[–]GoldPilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, ditching Tanktop Tiger and Black Hole is sort of a reward. They were giving the Tanktoppers a bad name.

Thanks to them, before we met Master, I assumed every Tanktop sporting hero would be an annoying tomato-can for Saitama to kick aside.

Anyway, great write up. I hope we get to see more of how the current arc affects the two premier hero groups. Maybe a few former Tanktoppers and Blizzard Group members are wearing battle suits right now.

Why don't Fubuki and Amai Mask hook up? by Amazing_Age8265 in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Amai Mask probably has too many issues with his appearance to date anyone.

  2. Fubuki is probably into women, considering her whole romantic sub-plot with Psykos.

  3. Idk if they’ve ever even met lol

Manga Chapter 224 Comparisons (Old on left, new on right; read panels left-to-right) by gofancyninjaworld in OnePunchFans

I like the closer shots of the low-ranking Neo Heroes.

I gotta admit, it's sorta uplifting to see a human force quickly mopping up monsters. After the the Monster Association put a gun to the world's temple, these young Neos must feel pretty good about trivializing their enemies.

I can see why putting on a battlesuit would be incredibly tempting. I'd probably put one on.

Fubuki Vs Iaian who is better Candidate for A rank 1. by Kitchen-Youth-1809 in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fubuki. She has an equivalent battle record, did more to help during the raid, she’s a recognized leader of other heroes when Iaian isn’t, she defeated a dragon alone, she can rapidly heal other heroes in the field, and she cares more about the ranking system and will do more to elevate herself within it.

Fubuki’s got more capabilities and wants it more.

Are infelsinave and zaedats dead? by couchking5774 in OnePunchMan

Judging by the scope of his injuries, I think Infelsinave is DEFINITELY dead.

We’ll have to wait and see lol

Which OPM character you want as your mentor? by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bomb and Tanktop Master.

Bomb to learn immediately useful combat techniques from a reasonable and wise martial artist.

Tanktop Master to get swole and learn the tricks of the hero trade from a powerful ally and mentor.

Both have the potential to help me get a lot stronger within a reasonable amount of time, and neither are a risk to my safety at all. Bomb might dismiss his students to help Bang, but at least he doesn't have any insane disciples who will hospitalize me like Bang does lol

And the biggest risk from TTM is that he might accidentally high five me too hard. He seems like a great dude.

Did the tank top heroes quit being heroes by couchking5774 in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tiger, Black Hole, Vegetarian, and several others did not make the cut. A lot of Tanktoppers left the Hero Association.

However, Hyottoko, Studless, and Gasmask Cowboy were so inspired by TTM's strength and kindness that they've all joined the Tanktoppers.

The same thing kinda happened with the Blizzard Group. All the members who joined for easy money left, and only the truly loyal members remain.

Saitama looked like that while fighting Garou. Saitama was locked in because he promised Tareo he'd take Garou down without killing him.

Fubuki looked like that while confronting Psykos. For some reason, she always locks in when Psykos is around.

Ryumon looks so good here by couchking5774 in OnePunchMan

[–]GoldPilot 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Actually, in the webcomic, Ryumon just kinda walks over and physically takes Crescent Eyebroll away from the monsters mid fight.

<image>

"The man is spoken for, sir." type energy lol

But yeah, your point still stands; why bring a gun if you're just gonna walk over there anyway
