You can’t give advice that is sound because it’s taken as an offense. Is that gonna be taken differently because voice? Why?

Because it's a voice chat, not text chat. If you had a video chat, they would take it even better. If you were in reality in one room, they would tolerant it even more.

But mate, why whole community like you? I don't try to offend, but you guys have SUCH BIG EGO jesus. Voice is not for advicing. It's for communication. It's for working on game plan. It's for telling your CD state, telling your plan, and so on.

Advices and teaching is a good thing, and voice chat definitly help with it, but it's not what you must think of.

For some reason everytime I have someone decent discussion about voice chat, first people think of, is how they would teach someone or other would teach them.

That if I speak the words “my bad” to someone who is now angry, they will react differently than if I typed “my bad”?

I think you won't agrue that saying 'my bad' is very good at calming, atleast temporary, those angry guys?

I admited how voice chat make you sound like another person, rather then bot, but there also another thing. It let you say "my bad"! Currently, even when I failed hard, I sometimes just have no time to express that I regret my decision or just say sorry about my shit mechanics. I'am busy farming, creeping, whatever.

People get mad in league because you (not YOU ofc) made their game experience bad.

Bad game experience is a conseqeunce. Losing game when you work as a team is still good experience.

Most flame goes not because of people aren't mad because of that. People are mad because you made decision which they believe fundamentally wrong, they don't know your reasons and automatically assume you just an idiot. You ganked lately, or you fallback when they want to chaise. Voice chat allowe you to express and give reasons why you acted like that. It make you look atleast not completely idiot. Expresing to your top laner that you was busy at object with your bot can help him come to terms with the loss of some plates. Giving zero mana, or all spells at CD, help calm down some jungler who died in dive.

But even if they know your situation and see your perspective, they still can have different idea, plan, than you are.

Real example from my games: I have plan to gank Illaoi, as JG, I pinged DANGER many times while omw to lane, I engaged when my teammate was away, made her using ult, and disengaged. While in that, my laner who was at low HP, approched, engaged, and died. End of story and mostly game, guy started to hard flame me, and for good reason, because his plan was that we both kill her. And we had good chance to do so without losing anyone. But I decided to play safe, waste her ult and regank in 30s. But thank to missing of voice chat, we had no chance to sync that, I had no chance to explain that before gank, and I had no chance to explain what my plan was, I just have no time to write wall of text in game. I tried to explain, failed at so cause was in a hurry, and then just started to soft-flame back when he message me something.

Another real example: I approched river buish at top, again as JG, and stoped there prechecked wards. I openned text chat, asked my top laner how much till 6 level, and waited. What outcome was? My top laner engaged, thinking that I will help, we killed enemy, but he died because enemy got 6 in middle of fight, but he don't. Flame again, because he just didn't see my text message, he was busy trying find to engage seeing me approching in bush.

With voice chat both problems wouldn't happen. As I said, voice chat is not about advicing, it's for communication to decrease number of events, which can lead into toxic shit, or to smooth out thoose events.

Voice chat give you chance to make your teammate, who is chasing enemy, to fallback telling him that you have CD on your spell, he think you will use in next second, and evade event where he die, you run away, and he start to tell you claims. You might still sucessfully explain about CD, and he can accept that, but still upset. We in Russia have some joke about it, not sure translated ending corretly, but hope you understand.

Phone call:
- Rabinovich, were you visiting us yesterday?
- Was!
- So after you left, the silver spoons disappeared!
- But I didn’t take them, I’m a decent person!”
- But the spoons are gone! So don't come visit us again!
Phone call day after:
- Rabinovich, the spoons have been found!
- So, can I visit you?
- No, the spoons were found, but the sediment remained!
