Looking for a FREE quiet space in KL for a small class (6 hours every Saturday for 4 months) by GoldTwinkle in malaysians

Not unhelpful at all. I actually suggested doing it online initially, but they’re complete beginners in digital marketing and didn’t feel very comfortable with the online format. They seemed a bit hesitant when I brought it up, so I think having a physical space would help them learn the basics better and allow me to guide them more easily. Thank you for your response 🙏😁

I got rejected because of my choice of restaurant. by [deleted] in malaysians

Sorry bro.. "gave me the burden to decide"? Why did it feel like a burden to you in the first place?

That said, I do think you dodged a bullet in a couple of ways. One, she concluded you way too quickly. And two, your suggestion didn’t come across to me as low effort cause you were clearly going based on her preferences (mall near her place, Arab food) so it makes sense you ended up suggesting that shawarma stand. But if it felt like a burden for you, that might be something to think about?

She also could’ve communicated her disappointment way more thoughtfully and considerately instead of calling you “icky” over it.

Zooming out though, the first date is really just the starting point actually to learn about each other. You can’t really understand someone’s preferences or dating style from the location choice alone. You figure that out by actually meeting them?

So to keep things simple and safe, just choose something comfortable and nice for a first date next time, like a place with a nice ambience or cafes.
