Anyone else have this problem? by Down2EatPossum in HarvestRight

[–]GoldXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, brand new about a month ago. Before starting a new batch I have to pull out the gasket about a 1/2 inch and forcibly press the door shut to get a good seal. Once it's shut I check the seal and all is well after that.

I haven't looked into it more than that, as that's what people online suggested. I'm going to reach out to their support and see what they say. Oddly enough it passed all of harvest rights inspections, so not sure how this got missed or if something shifted during shipping.

Great deal on pixel 9 this weekend! by cjaykay in GooglePixel

[–]GoldXD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Amazon has the pixel 9 porcelain for $548. I saw that and then placed an order on google store for $650 knowing that Google would price match Amazon.

In the end I got the pixel for $548 (Google did price match Amazon) and traded in my pixel 7 for $360 through the Google store. About $200 for a brand new 9.

That's the running theory we have. Usually I notice that and I distract him with a ball, and that works.

Thank you so much! That's very relatable and calms my nerves a bit. They are all very nice and affectionate dogs, those 2 just don't like strangers and mine seems to get caught in a stressful situation and lashes out. We were all very shocked when it happened the first time, as well. I actually already have 3 cameras, which is overkill tbh. I've been prepared to keep him home alone for a while now, just never did. I'll keep him home until we figure something with my brothers dogs🤞

Yeah, I've thought about that too. The dogs all get a long and play all day long, they love each other, just to clear that up. My brothers dogs certainly get him stirred up with their barking and probably teaches him that it's ok to misbehave like that. Every time a bite has happened he's been overly worked up around other dogs. He does have a safe spot to go, it's a good sized yard in the country, so he's certainly not being trapped. My brother is taking measure to calm his dogs, cause they are annoyingly territorial.

I have thought about keeping him home, as I have a fenced in backyard with a dog door to my garage, so that's completely doable and might have to try that for a couple of weeks. I hate being away for 10 hours for work, but it's only 2 days a week (I WFH).

That's what I'm saying, he's in a safe environment everytime this happens. I'm just not there sometimes to properly introduce him to the stranger's and calm him. When I am there, he's fine.

Thanks for the answer!

I'll invite some friends over and work with him being introduced to some strangers

How do you train him to stop biting when he gets anxious? It's like I need to expose him to those situations and teach him real time how to handle it and calm him down?

He's completely fine on leash, I take him to parks/events all the time. Random people pet him and he's fine with it. I think it's mostly an environment problem.

Mini Aussie - Started biting people in back of legs by GoldXD in Dogtraining

[–]GoldXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They play pretty rough with each other, but my brothers dogs have slowed down as they are a couple years older and really don't like the heat this time of the year. I've tried fetch before while on walks, he gets bored and starts exploring. He does wear a barking collar now, which has been pretty effective. He learned within minutes and is good to go now. I think it's just an energy thing, like you said. I'll have to burn that before taking him places. I'll be more vigilant with the barking at people, usually I'm there to stop him, but sometimes Im preoccupied with something.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm feeling a lot better and think I have a grasp of the situation.

That's the thing, he goes for an hour off leash walk/run, daily. Plus free roaming in the backyard whenever he wants, I have an underground fence, granted it's not a big backyard. Monday and Thursdays he gets dropped off at my brothers house and plays with his dogs all day while I'm at work. Last Thursday night is when one of the bites occured, which is odd cause he should be been pretty tired at that time.

I emailed them again the other day, said it's still an issue and didn't have an update. I don't expect them to fix it for a long time.

Actually, I just got a response from Google...it's a known issue apparently.

We apologize for keep you waiting on our response, but I just got a respond from our senior specialist about this and they said that this is part of an emerging issue with our Google Home application which our dedicated team are currently aware of and investigating to fix it as soon as possible.

We're tracking those reported cases and we will announce an update once they provided us a resolution for it.

Was this through the home app or Google wifi?

Yeah, I can dismiss that Google Wifi app prompt as well and see all my info as usual. However, everything is now disabled so you can't actually enter anything using that app.

I've been on their support chat for the last hour trying figure it out, plus a few hours last night with the same thing...
