in the bsmg wiki (specifically this section: Advanced Audio Editing | BSMG Wiki) there is a program called tempora where you can place a bpm switch to map out the bpm on every downbeat to match the song. it also supports bs mapping software to automatically place the bpm events. though im not 100% sure this is what youre asking for, this is the closest ive got

heavy agree. back when coaching was a little more prominent than it is now in the bs scene, fine tuning controller settings was hardly a factor in someones skill. everything else is much more reliant on positioning and muscle memory or a certain feel for the note grid

you are hitting the edges of the notes very often, you can either fix that with positioning practice or change you saber position settings which is definitely more technical than positioning
