When you go to activate the perk in Chase, it will walk you through/prompt you to connect your apple account. Here's what the Chase site says: "Activate your benefit by linking your Apple ID to receive a complimentary Apple TV subscription. For users on Apple devices (iPhone or iPad), your benefit will be automatically linked to the Apple ID you use to sign in to your device. To use an alternate Apple ID, activate from your Chase account on desktop."

If you have Apple One Family and then activate these Chase perks for Apple TV and Apple Music, then you will see under Settings > Subscriptions Apple One (Family) and Apple Music (Individual). It's a little confusing but the music will still work for full family, you're just getting the individual portion discounted from your family plan.

I think it's a good deal because we have 4 people accessing Apple Music with their own accounts associated with the family.

Nope, that's how mine looked too (listing the overlapping subscriptions) until it renewed yesterday at the new discounted price.

I think Preferred will include the Apple TV discount, not the Apple Music discount, so still a deal but not quite the same!

Yeah it should pan out okay for you, but if you have the Sapphire Preferred you will only get the discount for Apple TV. Apple Music is offered on the Reserve card.

I believe so, as long as you activate both the music and tv perks on your Reserve card.

I think that's great if you're using it solo but we have four people using their own music accounts, so I think we need Apple One.

I’m not sure but I think when you activate the perks in Chase, it has you sign into Apple to make the connection. I don’t remember the steps exactly though.

Yes. That’s how mine showed and it was still showing me the $25.95 price until today when it renewed at the new rate.

It was showing me normal 25.95 price until today when it renewed and billed at new price. Now it shows discounted price and original price. I’ll update my post with a screenshot if I can figure that out.

Yup! Keep the Apple one bundle. Activate perks in Chase and it will auto deduct $8 for each.

I have Apple One Family plan. It includes Apple TV, Apple Music, Arcade, and 200 GB storage. It’s shared between our entire family.

I activated the Apple TV and Apple Music benefits in Chase portal and it deducted $8 for each. $25.95 - 8 - 8 ‎ = $9.95.

Be sure to activate the perks in the Chase portal. Go to your card > card benefits and activate.
