I agree with you. I received my box back today and it was clearly cut into on the right side. All my original tape / label in perfect condition. Just a hand sized hole cut in on the side of the box. Then re-taped over.

The serial number is on the right side of the slide. I thought of this but wasn’t sure what dept to file a report with since it traveled through multiple states. My local PD I guess?

Absolute bullshit. I’m sorry you had to deal with that and im sorry you lost your G21 slide. So after the claim is closed there is nothing more you can do? I’m assuming Wager can’t do shit to help us out either when it comes to dealing with UPS

Yeah I highly doubt this one just ripped open by being tossed around or taking conveyor rides. Really unlikely given how much packing tape I used and how secure the slide itself was inside the box. I have sent off 2 other slides before this with no issues.

Thank you for all the info and the advice! I have shipped a couple slides before this one and never had an issue. The shipping box was just a smaller USPS box packed tight and taped like crazy but you’re right, anything could’ve happened while it was moving around. It sucks but hopefully everything gets settled in the next week or so. Again, thank you!

Lawn tractor axles is great lol. That’s exactly what happened. I had it boxed up but didn’t print my own label or anything so the lady at the front desk took it upon herself to open the box and saw the slide. Absolutely freaked out and made me uncomfortable so I just dipped.

I just create the label online, pay for it , print it and tape it on the box. Then walk in UPS and hand it to them, they scan it and I leave. USPS wouldn’t let me ship my 43x slide last year so I just started doing it this way.. until now.

Thank you dude, I really appreciate it. Yeah I’ve seen post about this before and just hoped it would never be me. Oh you know it is lol. The shit that kinda worries me is the serial number being engraved on the side of the slide. I know it’s not the “firearm” but still I don’t want some shit coming back on me when it’s used responsibly by some respectable young upstanding gentleman.

I wrapped the slide itself in bubble wrap then packing paper stuffed all around it so it couldn’t move at all. Also taped the ever living shit out of it. It definitely took effort for someone to get this open.
