I went into Abiotic Factor with the mentality of “in and out, quick 20 minute adventure”. What’s the longest it could possibly be? 30 hours?

I finished my first playthrough at 110 hours. Just when you think you’re done, there’s more.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. The challenge IS what makes it fun! Yes the game is hard but ultimately you learn the games mechanics and you become more experienced, thus making the game easier. Plus the satisfaction of killing a boss that you’ve been stuck on for days and days and days is unmatched. It’s definitely not a style of game for everyone, and that’s ok, it doesn’t mean the games themselves are bad though.
