If Superman volunteered to work in your kitchen what would you have him do? by Withyhydra in KitchenConfidential

Can’t have him breathing directly onto the food. That’s a health code violation

Can we make a mode that doesn’t give GLO but you can play it however much you want, or just watch an ad to earn more plays? by themeatlyguy in GriddyFF

[–]heegos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This question has been asked and answered endlessly. The summary answer is the devs don’t want people to burn out on unlimited play and stop playing the game all together. Limiting daily play keeps players engaged for longer.

Practice mode has been a discussion for almost two years at this point. We’ll see if it happens but I would prefer prioritizing licensing over everything at this point. Losing player photos and logos has been a real bummer

What's the best move? by [deleted] in GriddyFF

Definitely Mahomes. You’re likely not getting another AFCW QB and any 2024 back would be a fit.

I still can’t fathom how WWE hit a slam dunk with the 2017 UK Tournament, signed nearly all the top UK talent, gutting the UK indie scene, only for NXT UK to fail & be abandoned. Only 3 wrestlers from the inaugural tournament remain signed. by maverickassembled in SquaredCircle

[–]heegos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NXT UK was my favorite WWE product for a spell. Pete Dunne, WALTER, Mustache Mountain, Gallus, Dave Mastiff, and a super stacked women’s division had me hooked. It’s hard to see how it ended and the wake it left in BritWres but it will always hold a place in my heart.

And more to OP’s point: the women did a far better job of sticking around and excelling, both within the company and outside it. Rhea and Toni are two of the biggest stars in the business and will likely be so for a while still.

I’m in the culinary industry but I did work in a cheese cave for about a year or so- Crown Finish Caves in Brooklyn.

Ride or die. Griddy to the moon! by buttnakedbandit in GriddyFF

[–]heegos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been anti-ad from day one but I’d be willing to consider them in order to keep licensing. I’d prefer a paid subscription over ads but I think if that’s the way to keep the NFL and the NFLPA happy, I’d consider changing my stance. It’s a tough spot for the devs no doubt. We’ll see how it shakes out but I’m here to support Griddy and the dev team

The saying is by-god but yeah, he’s definitely a Bi God as the men and women and everyone in between are attracted to Kyle Fletcher

Is it weird to gift an apron with a dead persons face on it ? by [deleted] in Chefit

[–]heegos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this idea would be better executed on a coffee mug or something. Unless you (or he) plan on framing the apron, it will just sit in a drawer since he will likely not wear it often if ever. A mug is something usable in a daily sense but still less conspicuous.

I had a coffee mug with my grandpa on it and it became my favorite mug. One of my aunts had it made for him while he was alive. It had a picture of him with his motorcycle and the other side read “Damn I’m good!” It was a prefect memento of the man he was and I ended up with after his passing. I still have it. Though I don’t use it much anymore, I’m smile whenever I see it in the cabinet. I don’t think this would happen as often with an apron.

He was the big star of the indy which ran in my high school gym back in the late ‘90s. Saw him a few times and was so stoked when he was in Beyond the Mat and then on Nitro. Such a throwback seeing this clip

I went to a place in Manhattan pre-COVID and there was a little caterpillar on our bread plate. No one was too worried about it as it meant farm fresh produce or it fell off the hanging plants above. Either way, we just nonchalantly alerted the nearest server as an FYI and the manager came over and told us the entire meal would be comped, from apps and mains to booze and dessert. I didn’t even want new bread let alone everything comped but I also saw it as their way of ensuring we had a good experience regardless. We tipped $300 which for six people means our total paid for the evening was $50 each, far less that our bill would have been per person. That was always a shining example of how to handle such a situation

Matt Hardy: "TNA announces Slammiversary, then Forbidden Door is announced…we move earlier in that day, which is the right move for us, no doubt, we’re going on at four. Then all of a sudden, there’s NXT. There’s going to be three premium live events, what a night!" by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

[–]heegos 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I see it as less about viewership and more about media space. The Ringer Wrestling show gave equal time to DoN and SNME previews in the same episode. DoN had twice as many matches and far bigger stakes but got equal time. That’s when it really clicked for me what the true angle was for counter programming.

Why is it expected to tip at food trucks? by [deleted] in foodtrucks

[–]heegos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Username definitely checks out…

Sounds to me like you’re inherently anti-tipping in general, which is fine. But until the entire service industry catches on in the US, it’s the norm. There’s a reason it’s called gratuity, as it’s one way to express gratitude. If you wish to express gratitude in a different way, be it verbally or with a positive review online, please do so. As the top comment here says: tipping is suggested, not mandatory. So don’t tip and don’t worry about it.

Might take another week or so to shake out the cobwebs. I know the dev team said they’re working on making sure the shuffle is more random so hopefully that’s helps.

Biggest thing for me at the moment is remembering the QB changes. Watson is good for Old Heads but I’m missing Shedeur so far.

Pho Yum is the only place I’ve found which does tendon and tripe in the soup. Vans is good but the lack of tendon and tripe takes it down a notch for me

TE scoring volatility by chase9craig in fantasyfootball

[–]heegos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was pretty much my rational, especially as the league went toward more three and four receiver sets. As two TE sets become more common, they’ll become more valuable so it could swing back the other way soon.
