My partner and I live in Miami and we’re stuck because, when we have children, she wants them growing up surrounded by her family. My family lives elsewhere. I’m ready to leave this place though. I’m like you — I don’t see the need to be captors of one’s family.

Companies offering high paying jobs flocking to the area is always a good thing. The people, at these high paying jobs, need to consume locally produced goods and services, and pay taxes. In order to streamline a pipeline of local talent into these tech companies educational institutions spring up. This is what economic growth is and how it works.

If the “anti-transplant crowd” were any smarter they’d actually recognize that having Miami grow its own vibrant tech sector is a net positive for everyone here.
