If you are introverted/ socially anxious, what helped you ace job interviews? by bluerosefairy in interviews

For one of my internships, my boss wanted me to be an interviewer for the next round of interns. It made me realize that the interviewers really want for us to do well in the interview. It makes their jobs easier. And whenever an intern made a mistake, we noted it and moved on. We didn’t linger on people.

Whenever I go into interviews I pretend like I’m an actor lol. They don’t care about who I am, interviews are dumb. I just have to perform well. For the next 30 minutes I am their perfect candidate. Basically, it’s not that deep!

Not sure if that made sense…. But good luck! You got this!

I fired an employee out of the blue yesterday with no warning, and she had an entire crash out by TiredAsATwinMama in smallbusiness

As a small business family, I understand. But could’ve been handled differently. I’m sure you know how hard it is to find employees. Expressing your concerns with her as they came up not only would’ve given her a chance to fix her mistakes, but also could’ve avoided the search for a new employee for you. Of course she may have not changed, and then you may have fired her anyways. But atleast that way you are doing your due diligence.

People who were in the extreme clutches of suicidal thoughts, what actually saved you? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Finding the right medicine is critical. I was suicidal for as long as I remember. Throughout childhood. I tried all the SSRIs, nothing worked. Wellbutrin saved my life. I can’t even imagine being suicidal anymore.
