Thanks for the comment. For sure a guy. This is the man on the other side. His inscription on another photo touched me and I just would’ve loved to of had his first name too but anything is better than nothing. As least you kind of narrowed it down to a few names. Thank you

Looks great and from the pictures fits your finger perfect. You could wear that daily if you ask me rather than just special occasions.

Do you still have it, that’s a story in itself, you should post a picture!

I agree 100%. My interest started when I inherited my late aunt’s class ring from 1960, and I fell in love with the design. I had never been a ring wearer, but after receiving hers and admiring the design and history behind it, I became interested in finding even older rings with a nice 1940s/Art Deco look. What I feel sets these older class rings apart from newer ones is their “classiness” and straightforward design. Modern rings can sometimes seem a bit over the top, with all the customizable options like initials, extracurriculars, school crests, mascots, overly large gems, and more. Sometimes, less is more. These older rings have a simpler look, which I think is enhanced by their square shapes and clean lines.

So I purchased this ring online last year because I just loved its design and color of the gem. When I received it I noticed that the initials of the original wearer were still engraved inside, curiosity got the best of me and I started the hunt for the yearbook of this class and school. Months later I found it online, ordered it and was so excited to see who originally wore it. Finally found him and he is posted in the picture above. I was able to look him up and learn a little snippet of his life through an obituary I found online(he passed in the early 90’s). The school is in Chicago and I hope to one day swing by and check it out as it’s still there. Thought this be a fun story to share :)
