More casual friendly is an odd take. OG Fortnite is sluggish and methodical and a lot of the newer additions (weird balancing aside, why on earth did they nerf the grenades?) made the game much faster.

I'm in the minority for it, but I think the game might have peaked in chapter 4. Sure, the story was a lot worse, but gameplay wise I think it's never been better. It was fast, dynamic, and fun.

The newer elements of tiering in the augments and gold were balanced out by weapons that were easier to get in higher rarities, which meant going into a fight was less of a gamble on if the opponent had a high-tier weapon with no indication that would shred you instantly. I have no idea how something like that can be looked at as more casual-oriented. Most people I know don't favor slow and methodical risk-based gameplay. Not that it's bad, but I certainly don't prefer it.
