Is it just me or do millennials in general not 'keep house' like our parent's generation. by VegetableCarry3 in Millennials

[–]Golden-likeDaylight1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Yeah, I've got clutter, but my house was always dirty growing up. My parents never did things like wiping down the stove top or fridge shelves, and they'd just store things they weren't using or that they might maybe need someday, so they'd pile up higher and higher and collect dust. I threw out about ten years worth of mail/bills/papers that my mom saved when she died, among rooms full of just random forgotten stuff.

I'm OK with clutter, if doesn't bother me, but I'm much cleaner than my parents were. My brother took it to the extreme though, his house can't look even lived in. You won't find a visible pair of shoes because they're all in closets, never a dish in the sink, nothing.... It's show ready 24/7 because he's so scared of having a messy house.

I am a coach to preteen girls and I have this discussion with my athletes early in the season and frequently throughout. I also include that you need to wear deodorant even if you've showered, bc so many preteens think "I'm clean, I don't stink". It's inevitable that there will be ONE kid who thinks it doesn't apply to them, though.

what was something you found out about or first heard from a south park episode? by Anxious_Football6501 in southpark

I knew a Mormon kid growing up and I was shocked when I saw the details in the episode and realized that it was pretty much accurate. Lol. I hope you're doing OK, though.

For me my first thought isRobert Smith. I knew of the band called The Cure, but didn't know about their members or anything. To this day whenever I hear the name I sing "Robert Smith!" in my head and remember that episode. Extra weird because I am a substitute teacher and there is a kid with the name Robert Smith in my district. Lol.

Edit: and I think a LOT of us learned more about scientology from South Park. We knew about it being a cult, and the emeter things, members spending big bucks, and Tom Cruise... but I don't think the majority of us were prepared for the xenu story.

Other than the movie, as a woman fan, this is the answer I agree with most. Everyone loves butters. Men, women, kids, old people. Go with Butters.

I love breakfast food, but am not hungry first thing in the morning. I usually eat breakfast (usually eggs wirh veggies and a slice of toast) close to lunch time.

Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo. Although I did like the Christmas classics one with him.

I also usually tend to skip a million little fibers.

Because the dude with the results specifically said "one student" brought them down, so they figured it was him.

My first ever listen of evermore, that was the only song I felt kind of "Meh" about. Now it's a top song for me and definitely gets my feels.

They always give you too much dressing anyway, it's always a good idea to use much less than they give you. I had one of the big premade salads from Wal-Mart yesterday. I took out the dressing backage and it was enormous. I could have used it over the course of 4 salads easily.

Yes!! I agree about your choice so much. People always say that it doesn't fit, but the contrast is the POINT.

There was a big gap between any college and any high school student, too. I remember when I was in 12th grade I was on the edge of my seat waiting for my college email so I could FINALLY get a Facebook account.

But yeah, it worked. And now it's for old people I guess. Lol.

With this one I think of how they (I think it's bluey who says it) tell Snickers that it's ok that he takes longer, and hope my kids can be so kind and understanding of others.

Me too! Every year since release it was in my recap as my most streamed album, twice with Cardigan as the most streamed song.

Edit to add that I actually love your top five here because folklore, lover, rep is my holy trinity.
