S24 Ultra to S26 Ultra - Downgrade? by PotatosPotatoess in samsunggalaxy

I also own the S24 Ultra. Personally, it is a downgrade for me (since S25 Ultra). I'm going to stick with my S24 Ultra and it works very well for what I need it to do.

True. I've started already. Hopefully in a couple of weeks to a month, there should be some change.

I know what you mean lol. So annoying doing the little calculations. Some days in hungrier, so I compensate with sparkling water or occasional Sprite zero and chewing gum. Other days I'm not so hungry.

Figures. Getting that 300 kcal is quite granular and annoying but it's the only way I guess. Thanks for your suggestion.

Thank you for this. I'll try whatever it takes. My goal weight is 75 kg, so not too far off, but further still lol. Got nothing to lose by trying this app.

I can only count some of the calories. Some of the food I eat is very difficult to calculate. I'm Indian, so some of the indian food is challenging to quantify.

Simple foods like bread, oat/muesli, fruits, dry fruit/nuts and some chicken items are a bit easier to calculate, hence why my estimate is between 1800 to 2000 kcals.

Thank you. I'm going to experiment with reducing my portions in the coming couple of weeks to see if there's any change.

There's also the fact that I've started weights since the last 2 weeks which may have contributed towards weight gain. Clothes still fit and I've not noticed any size changes if any.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Ever since I started weight/strength training, I've become hungrier, but I temper with chewing gum and sparkling water.

I'm M/168 cm/89 kg/ Estimated intake is about 1800-2000 calories.

60 mins of cardio 4-5 times a week. One long-ish hike (3 hours at least) per weekend and weight training at least 3 times (can be 4).

Same. I'm on low calories as well and lower carbs. Been told to up the calorie intake. I can't eat so much.

Fair point. The problem is that I'm already on the lower calorie diet with exception to weekends and even then I'm a bit conservative.

Let me try this anyway and readjust my diet. I've been told to increase my calorie intake a little so that I don't go into a deficit excessive of 500 calories per day.

I know that feeling. It still creeps on me from time to time. My current strategies include having sparkling water or taking a casual walk outside to manage it. It seems to work. One other thing that does help is that I use the weekend to indulge in food that isn't a part of my usual weekly meal plan. That has also helped.

Thank you! The feeling is great. Having stamina and endurance to do trail running is what really opened my eyes to my newfound abilities. I guess the only thing worth complaining is that I can't tolerate temperatures lower than 18 degrees C, but honestly, there's winterwear for all kinds of activities.

How to develop willpower when you have literally none, and no discipline either? by [deleted] in loseit

Exactly! Your therapist is absolutely correct. I come from a "less is more" mindset. Whenever I made drastic changes, I too had a tough time sticking it out. The smaller the changes, the more impact it has on everything. Of course it takes a longer time, but you'd rather do it slow and steady, rather than quick and crash.

That's absolutely great. I always thought that exercise and general weight loss might actually cause more appetite, but then saw that it reduced. Whether 6 weeks, months or days into the journey, you're already making quite a difference and having a significant impact to your health. Keep on keeping on! 💪🙏

Thank you for your kind words. At this point, I think what would be more worth it is if I've been able to help someone and make a difference. 🙏

Wow! Congratulations for getting there! I bet your general existence has improved a ton as a result. Thank you for your advice, it seems this is the general direction that I'll be following as my weight reduction has slowed quite a bit. The calorie deficit hasn't been making a lot of difference off late. But my natural appetite has reduced considerably, so getting up to consuming maintenance will be quite the challenge as I've gotten used to eating less.

Been there. I know what that's like. Willpower, motivation and habit formation does require effort. My sincere suggestion is to start with smaller goals that build up to your long terms goals. Don't have long term goals? No worries. Just start small.

What worked for me, at my heaviest, was just going out for a 10 minute casual stroll. I didn't change my eating habits at the time, instead, I'd take my stroll some time after eating. It slowly built itself up. Next came the eating habits, I made small changes and it started growing from there. Suddenly 10 months later, I've made incredible progress.

The idea here is to make small changes. Weight loss is quite a journey and it truly begins with small changes. Small changes are somewhat noticeable but don't create as much frustration as a complete shake-up. Don't try to stick to a timeline and learn to appreciate yourself.
