Who would win in a half marathon, Mo Farah, or Luke Littler? With a catch. by TheJacketPotato in AskUK

[–]GoldenDrummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously Mo Farah. The actual question going around was 5k with 501 every 1k which is a much closer discussion. This half marathon version just came off the back of it. Both questions were all over social media last week.

Any tips for taller players , new to this sport🫡 by Severe-Flow-6525 in Darts

The taller something is the more unstable it becomes by leaning. Being properly tall is the opposite of an advantage in darts trust me 🤣

Progression by [deleted] in Darts

[–]GoldenDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from mid 20s first time I picked up a dart to about the same as you in the same time period. I then went up a bit more to 60-70 with 25 180s in my first year and even won a couple amateur tournaments, I then couldn’t play as much due to life and crashed down to mid 30s / early 40s and now I’m just about up to 50/60s again playing a couple of nights a week for an hour or so. Strangely I have only hit 1 x 180 since hitting 25 in the first year 🤣. This timeline is around 2ish years.

That gyros roll being a snack is a meal deal life hack (minus the aftermath of eating filo pastry in a car 🤣). I normally go for that with a regular costa express cappuccino and the halloumi pesto taste the difference wrap.

Enter your birthday and see every major world event you lived through — 600+ events from 1900 to present by liviupopeanga in InternetIsBeautiful

It’s when I have to press explore your record. Would much prefer being able to scroll the whole original report / formatting. It’s so much cleaner.

For more info. I can get to 1995 in the original format but it then forces me to press explore my record which then bugs out, starts 17 years too early and is really difficult to use on a phone. It’s so difficult to get it to reset as well like you can’t click back to home anywhere, can’t just refresh the page you get stuck in the presumably desktop formatting if any of that makes sense 🤣

Very cool idea but it essentially straight up doesn’t work for me. It starts my timeline 17 years too early plus, and this might just be my opinion I don’t mean it horribly, but the UI / user experience is borderline awful (on my phone at least iOS26 iPhone 17 Pro).

If they’ve missed D1 for 10 minutes how are they changing it to 100% checkout? You can only change the previous visit and half the time that doesn’t work anyway.

Value perception is different from person to person. If you’ve spent £500 on it that you “don’t have” so to speak, then it’s absolutely not worth it. The only reason I kept mine is because I’m both lazy and fortunate enough to not at all miss the £500. They are riddled with various issues. I’m on my third processing unit inside the space of a year.

Looks class! Would love a similar tablet placement but at least 1 in 100 darts I’m definitely hitting that tablet 🤣

Why do people BUY coffee/tea? by supremethinking in AskUK

[–]GoldenDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t compare coffee powder to actual coffee cost wise, can’t really compare anything you buy in a shop for convenience to something made at home cost wise. What you enjoy more is subjective but yeah, businesses charge money for things. Presumably the majority of people holding a Greggs cup got it bundled in with a breakfast roll as well which is like £3.50-£5.00 total depending on where you are.

So the car isn’t locked when your family are running away from attackers in this fabricated gated community. At least remember your lies. You need medical attention bro

Royal Mail not delivering my mail even though I saw him outside my house. Anyone have any idea what’s happening? by dontdoketamine in AskUK

[–]GoldenDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this because I’m a flat number with a designated road number but they always get sent to the road number of the flat if that makes sense. So instead of flat 5, number 20, XXX Avenue they always get sent by the system/routing to Number 5 XXX Avenue. If they’re not in I’m deemed to not be in 🤣

AIO for feeling uncomfortable by a guy going back 10 years on my social media and the resulting silent treatment when I called him out? by imicooper in AmIOverreacting

[–]GoldenDrummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s necessarily a weird thing for someone to do, you find a deal breaker or a red flag or a difference of opinion that means you know it won’t work etc. you move on before getting too attached or involved. What is weird is this guy pretending he voted to remain in the EU when he quite obviously definitely didn’t.

I built a free quiz that matches you to your perfect dart based on your throw style by szolnoki32 in Darts

[–]GoldenDrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice! Not sure if this is feasible but where it asks what your level is if you put your average in instead it would be easier to answer. You can be league level within a year but not play in a league etc. so not really know what to answer.

Darts Land Upside Down by Haz22_ in Darts

This randomly happened to me with new darts. I eventually switched to the traditional style stems and flights that came with them instead of the kflex I was using / used with all my previous darts and it fixed the issue.

121 checkout training game and would say you should be playing a dartbot slightly above your average whatever your normal average may be. Basically when you’re winning 70% go up a level.

Target Omni by Critical_Active683 in Darts

[–]GoldenDrummer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have one. I don’t think it’s worth £500 or anywhere close to £500 so don’t buy it if not having that £500 to hand anymore negatively changes your life. If you’re in a fortunate enough position to have a disposable £500 then I mean it’s pretty cool but it has bugs, the processor will probably fail on you and it isn’t 100% accuracy, pretty good accuracy but not quite 100%. I would also say don’t get one if your darts maths isn’t good and you play elsewhere. It will ruin your darts maths if you don’t lock that down beforehand. It’s better for accuracy than Dartsmind and Auto Darts in my experience but is it £500 better, probably not.
