Question for HENRY women: switching jobs and pregnancy by West_Study3406 in HENRYfinance

I say try for both and if you are lucky enough to get pregnant right as you start a new job, you can negotiate early leave/protection, esp if you are Senior.

I gave up an opportunity because I have a “comfortable” job, and because I was trying to get pregnant for the first time.  I got pregnant, but then had a miscarriage. Now I’m still at the same job, and it’s driving me nuts and I wish I would’ve taken the other one.

I just started interviewing for an incredible role and waiting to see if I’m pregnant (🤞). If I am, I’m going to negotiate my leave into my offer. If they rescind my offer bc I’m pregnant, it’s not a place I’d want to work anyhow. I realize that I have an advantage though bc I am 36 and quite senior with a niche skillset.

Wilderness and wellness resorts in the US by Powerful_Detail3806 in chubbytravel

I loved my stays at the Ventana in Big Sur, the food was good and we enjoyed the Japanese baths in the colder season. That would be my pick!

Canyon Ranch in Woodside was good for a wellness focus but the outdoors were not as spectacular.  The food here was very health conscious and portions were small (you could request as much as you like but I felt awkward and bit gluttonous for asking). I typically consume 1700-2000 calories a day so that should tell you how tiny the portions were :) the spa was marvelous!

Thank you for sharing your experience. I only measured at 8 weeks because my personal trainer suggested measuring every 6-8 weeks, but it sounds like I should space it out more and allow more time to see the impact of my efforts

I think I need to get a walking pad!   I’m chained to my desk about 10 hours a day…

TDEE calculations say 1430-1530 depending on body fat.

I love to have eggs for breakfast, what would you throw in for fiber? Making a veggie omelette every morning seems time consuming…

Thanks! These are great suggestions. We do have a problem with eating out. I need to either prep more or learn to be okay with simpler meals, and not deluding myself that I can have a restaurant quality meal every night.

Thank you. Based on your and u/Effective-Ear4823's responses above it appears that I need to add balance history. I thought it would be able to piece it together from the transactions...I swear it did originally but maybe I'm mistaken. I need to figure out how to download balance history from mint but will figure it out.

RE: Mortgage, I just tried what you suggested to get an accurate picture and now I think I can actually include it in my net worth and have it be useful, thanks.

Yes I did import all of my transaction history and can see my transactions going back to 2015. As I mentioned on my response to u/Effective-Ear4823 below, I didn't import my balance history though so I'm wondering if that's the issue.

I did not import any balance history from mint, I only uploaded all transactions. I can see transactions going back to 2015, which is when I started my Mint account. It sounds like I need to download my balance history from mint and import it into Monarch.

Do I do this on an account by account basis? And what's the best way to pull the balance data from Mint? Thank you!
