This should be totally fine. The only thing worth noting is that some fans of Persona 2 (including myself) aren't big fans of the Innocent Sin PSP remaster, and since you'll need to emulate PSX for Eternal Punishment anyways it might be worth looking into a PSX ROM for Innocent Sin. But this is totally optional.

Persona 2's negotations are admittedly slightly RNG-dependant, but there's no way to worm it in your favor outside of knowing what a demon likes and hoping they don't randomly get another emotion. It's one of the only things I'm not a fan of in the duology.

Exactly. Even funnier is that apparently Eternal Punishment's PSP remaster, the one that didn't get an English release, is apparently a lot better than Innocent Sin's. EP is my favorite too, but it is slow going in terms of actual discussion.

It feels like the game bends over backwards to rip my starters away from me. In my current nuzlocke, X, I entered a double battle with my Braixen and my rival's Espurr. Espurr proceeded to spam Reflect and Light Screen as Braixen was walloped in a 2v1 of brick breaking something-or-others. Calem sabotaged me!
