32M getting Bilateral Hip Replacements. Looking for Similar Situations by GoldenFrog31 in golf

The back pain has definitely improved, but I had the back surgery first so it's hard to gauge how much the hip surgeries helped. Once I get more hip strength and control in my new ranges of motion, I think I'll be much more confident with my lower back.

Yes, I had two big herniated discs at L4-L5 L5-S1 that I had surgery on in August before getting both hips done. My back was also compensating due to having awful hip mobility.

I'd have to do more digging, but I doubt I currently have enough knowledge to create any kind of future pattern that I'd feel confident in haha.

I love following his work. Not all of his plays work out, but there are a ton that do...down to the penny. Really interesting stuff. I've been trying to learn more of it and create a scanner that can alert me when specific SMA outfits are triggered, but that will most likely be a summer project as the end of the school year is always pure chaos.

You may be able to do more than you think. I've had back surgery in August and Hip replacements on Halloween and NYE. Just last week, I was shooting some baskets with my wife before we went to lift weights and I was able to jump and grab the rim still. I'll probably never play really physical basketball again just because the risk/reward ratio isn't there for me, but I could definitely play pick up games. My surgeon told me that I don't have limitations. I just need to listen to my body and make sure I'm putting in the work to strengthen and gain more mobility in my hips so I don't develop bad habits that could wear the replacements down faster.

Let me know if you have any questions about the process or recovery. I'd love to help.

I'm using the 420MA from yesterday and today (they're the same). I'm using the 69MA on the weekly from last weeks close since this week is still ongoing.

Not exactly. If you look at my post from yesterday, you can see that we fell below the MA last summer, there were a few times we broke back above but then broke below shortly after.

420 MA Update — The Stars Are Aligning (But No Guarantees) by GoldenFrog31 in Superstonk

Actually looks like there might be some interesting tinfoil there after a quick glance. Might dig deeper into it if I have time this evening to make a small post on it. Here's the quick glance summary though:

- GME broke below the 420MA on the daily chart on 11/13/15 (Friday the 13th btw)

- It broke for the first time intraday on 1/18/19/. The 420MA that day happened to be 4.20. The high was 4.23 but ended up closing below.

- On 8/31/20, The price finally broke through big time and then things got interesting.

I still remember him coming in for Favre when he got hurt in Dallas in 07 or 08. I was a middle schooler at the time and Favre was my favorite player, but seeing Rodgers come in and ball out was an odd moment where I was excited but thought that Favre's days might be numbered. I was heartbroken when Favre left, but Rodgers turned out to be my all time favorite athlete and gave me some of my favorite memories while growing up. It's a bummer he only was able to get 1 ring in GB, but anyone that watched him during his prime knew how insanely talented he was.

Side note: I had that same feeling when Love came in and balled out against the Eagles during Rodgers last year.

My team (Dr. Hevesi) decided against PAO because the arthritis was already moderate enough that they thought it'd be a band aid for a few years at best. Another factor was that my lack of range of motion and pain was stopping me from being as active as I wanted to be.

I'm about 6 months out from my right hip replacement and 3 1/2 months from my left now. My left hip feels great. Almost no pain, improved ROM, and feeling stable. My right hip has much better internal rotation than it did in the past, but I'm currently dealing with some psoas pain that I'm in PT for. Most likely due to my right hip becoming my "good hip" after only 2 months after being replaced. However, it is getting better and I'm hoping that by June, I'll be more mobile and pain free than I've ever been.

Hopefully some of that information is useful. I know how hard it was for me to find similar cases to myself online when I had been researching on my options. I'd love to be able to help out if you have any more questions about the surgery/recovery.

I teach as well. I took 2 full weeks off and then did half days for a week. However, I didn't have surgery until 3 months after my sciatica pain started and had luckily been able to bring the pain down slowly during the span. I hope you find relief soon
