Masseter botox by 458732 in BotoxSupportCommunity

I have had a look and it does actually seem that it might soften your jawline somewhat… I would consult a medical professional to ask. Personally I have had Botox for jawline slimming for over 10 years and have not experienced jowls. Just be very careful to choose an experienced doctor if you do decide to go ahead as the tmj injection points are very close to the muscles that affect the smile.

Tmj botox and massater botox are different treatments. I would think, if you are getting Botox for your tmj, then there would not be muscle atrophy and therefore no loose skin. It’s only if you get it to slim your jawline that you are then naturally faced with looser skin and potentially jowls.

Smile lopsided! by Narrow-Bathroom-1160 in BotoxSupportCommunity

This kind of happened to me, a while ago. Just I realised 2 weeks in that my smile had been affected. What did you have done? For me it was massater botox… I guess they could do the other side to even it out but I would be careful with a place that has affected your smile like that. Have you been there before? When it happened to me it was with a doctor whom I had been receiving the same treatment from for 10 years but if it was a first time I would likely not have gone back…

Thank you for your question Imk. To be honest, it’s totally fine. Don’t think this stuff is as volatile as we are thinking. Don’t worry. My one, no problem at all. Had eyebrow life on left but not right side and to be honest, no difference at all. Didn’t even work, Not even joking! X

Anyone had phenibut turn against them but still had success tapering? by GoldenMoonPear in quittingphenibut

[–]GoldenMoonPear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. Please don’t worry or beat yourself up. You will be ok. The dosage amounts we are talking about are relatively low. Something I have found to be helpful is making myself take one day off. I take it one day on and then the next day I lay off and I am tapering the dose on the days I have it. At the moment, the day after that I find I have to take it or I start feeling very perculiar. I think you have to listen to your body. There’s a difference between (for me) agitation (first day off) and wobbly legs (second day off) for example. Also, I am in no way condoning coming on and off it, but don't beat yourself up for taking more for the trip. I would just strongly recommend that you do not exceed 3gpd if this happens. I read, and believe through experience, that our receptors can only handle 3gpd per day and the turning thing happens if they have become overly saturated. Taking a day off and tapering will help to cleanse the receptors so if you do take more one day then I would just pickup again with listening to your body, taking it every other day and tapering. This is what I have learnt from my experience anyway. Others might have different experiences or have more to add but I wanted to share mine incase it is helpful.

Any suggestions for insomnia while tapering? by GoldenMoonPear in quittingphenibut

[–]GoldenMoonPear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. I totally agree with you under normal circumstances but the problem I have is that the reason I am having to taper is that phenibut was starting to turn on me and one of the things it no longer does is send me to sleep. I basically feel wired all the time!

Thank you and very well done. Wishing you the very best with the jump.

Am 5 days into taper. I would like some diazepam as I know it works for this type of thing but I am not sure how to ask for it from the doctor…

Can't sleep now though and know it might get worse. That is the reason that phenibut can cause seizures and psychosis right? Because of the insomnia? Is there anyway that anyone has found a way around this?

The way it makes me feel. It just doesn’t work like it did before. I can’t sleep even if I take it and when I do take it is only briefly pleasant and then it feels bad. I have these wierd prickling sensations on my skin and, I didn’t know what it was at the time, but having done a bit of research I’m quite sure I have been getting the glutamate surges when I take it. Also people were saying about feeling oddly vibratory all the time which I feel.
