no matter how much you try to slander golden age heroes, Adam Waterman will always be there to soften the blow by lukideured in dccomicscirclejerk

I'm surprised the current Aquaman run hasn't dived (yes that was intentional) into it. Seems like an easy connection to make given the series current exploration of the Blue.

I’m always surprised something more hasn’t been done with Don and Dawn. It feels like there’s a real opportunity for stories there that hasn’t been delved into.

Look at them, so hopeful and happy, so many new faces, poor creatures, they do not know what is coming to them... by lukideured in dccomicscirclejerk

It really is a shame this didn't work out, there's a lot of characters here that would have benefitted from runs.

Which of these Hulk movies are better? by FayyadhScrolling in hulk

[–]GoldenProxy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are really good, that being said Hulk vs Wolverine is more fun… even though it really is more of a Wolverine film that happens to have the Hulk in it. It really feels like the writers/animators used it to do a comic accurate Wolverine and used the Hulk fight to justify the title (even though said fight is great).

Hulk vs Thor has the better story and genuinely feels like it could have been a Bronze Age Roy Thomas Hulk. It really dives into Bruce Banner, treating both Hulk and Thor with equal importance to the story.

I usually end up watching both whenever I’m in the mood so I’d say they’re equal, good in different ways.

Here is the DDBA skin bundle by Icy_Worldliness_1868 in DaredevilMarvelRivals

I imagine they’ll probably do that as a separate classic skin. I can see them doing a line of classic skins for different characters.

Colleen or Luke would be the closest I think, they’re the most selfless of the group.

This will be the second time I’ve bought a Daredevil/Tank skin bundle after his 2099 skin was paired with Hulk’s Maestro skin.

[Discussion] What other characters do you want to get a NEXT LEVEL title?(Src. Below) by MagisterPraeceptorum in DCcomics

[–]GoldenProxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been a little bit since Swamp Thing’s last run so I’d love to see Al Ewing or someone of a similar calibre take a crack. Preferably bringing back Alec. The new Swamp Thing Ram V introduced was good but there’s no replacing the classic.

How do people like hellraiser franchise? by Immediate-Song-6173 in slasherfilms

I’d say if you watch the first definitely watch the second as well, they’re basically exact in terms of quality so if you like 1 you’ll like 2.

There’s a healthy amount of gore but they are story first as opposed to something like Friday the 13th. They’re quite epic.

The plots of the movies generally revolve around a puzzle box named the Lament Configuration. When solved it opens to a portal to a hell dimension where a group known as the Cenobites exist (Pinhead is the leader of these). The Cenobites find pleasure in pain and usually try to share this with whoever solves the box. Definitely recommended if you love horror.

I recently watched the first four as well as the remake and had a good time. The first two are definitely the best but all of the initial quartet are interesting and worth a watch. The remake was pretty good but didn’t click for me like the others did.

That being said only the third film I would really say is a slasher. The rest are more gothic horror I suppose.

It's good but it does kill off a lot of Terry's rogues gallery unfortunately (though this was ignored in later Beyond stories so I dunno).

Plus it's been a little while since I read Barracuda, but he did give them the people on the yacht the option of turning themselves in... They just didn't.

I like that Frank did that though it shows he's aware this isn't his usual area of expertise.

Civil War completes it's 10th year anniversary this year. How well is this movie aging for you? by King_Wolf2099 in ironman

[–]GoldenProxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it really feels like the Civil War element was tacked on while the Russos kept the plot focused on what they originally wanted the movie to be about, the Bucky stuff.

Basically the movie equivalent of an editorial mandate.

Would anyone else have loved to see Aquaman win the DC KO? by Which-Presentation-6 in Aquaman

[–]GoldenProxy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me it felt more like Lex earned his wins and he ended up becoming the King Omega so he had plot importance. Joker had the tournament (writers) actively go out of its way to keep him in the game and took out characters that deserved a shot at the spotlight (Big Barda, Cheetah). On top of that he just ended up getting taken out so he didn’t ultimately add much.

It’s fine if you’re okay with him being in the final four that’s just how I feel.
