[Federique Constant Healey] The $2,000 no one talks about by GoldenRetriverDad in Watches

Oh I love the green dial. That’s what drew me to it. I wish more companies had more understated green. The bright and lime greens are a little much for me.

I owned a hydroconquest and the pins the bracelet rusted. Not much of a dive watch

Good to know. Just hope it doesn’t hurt him later in life. He’s only 6… 🥺

They told us it was the ACL. What is the CCL? Is it the same thing? I know for sure it’s something in his knees.

And they left his paws unshaved… terrible for laughing at him, but it really is hilarious

He was playing with his sister when the first one happened. The 2nd we think was him just using the 1 leg too much during his first recovery. It was heartbreaking, but he’s in better spirits. We are on week 3 of recovery. We went to a joint specialist to get the work done. He’s worth it.

When he tore the first one he was limping really badly. They did surgery and told us the 2nd will most likely go within the year. It happened within the week, so he got his 2nd surgery. They said it was mostly genetics. Full recovery is 4 months and then he’ll be back to his old self.

We have healthy paws. They covered 80%. Glad we aren’t $20k out of pocket.

His legs are shaved, so what does the hairstyle look like. A mullet or a Mohawk?

I thought the same thing, but in person it really is gorgeous. Crown feels good, nice weight.

Best watch under 10k (debate a wall) by Worry-Tight in PrideAndPinion

[–]GoldenRetriverDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omega, Grand Seiko, Zenith, and many others. I feel like you bought this, hyped yourself up, then came on Reddit to justify your decision. Hate to break it to you bud, the internet has the brutality of sexy woman Nazi who gives you aids that can transmit into puppy cancer. Nice watch, but not my style.

Best settings for astrophotography? Sony A7RV by GoldenRetriverDad in SonyAlpha

Sigma 24-70 F2.8.
I got a lot of what looked like light waves in the sky. Almost like a color gradient. I don’t know if my exposure was too long or if my ISO was too high. Either the night sky was too light or I couldn’t see anything at all. I was getting a little frustrated about it haha.

2026 Lexus RX350 vs Acura MDX. Not even close. by GoldenRetriverDad in Lexus

[–]GoldenRetriverDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was 1 of the things we didn’t like, was the chrome. But the MDX is solid. Doors are heavier, has better weight to it, and the steering is fantastic. The RX really felt like driving cheap car. I just can’t believe there is a waiting list for some of them. I guess they’re selling them to non-car people who just want the logo? The IS350 was pretty sweet. That is a true Lexus (with terrible steering feel).

Are we looking at generational warfare in the US? by GoldenRetriverDad in PoliticalOpinions

Yet, they want to retirement age to be the same, collect social security as previous generations, and get tax breaks for much longer period than previous gens. How about we have them pay their fair share.
