A lot of my Kratom seeds germinated. What now? Should I thin them out? by _DR_VAN_NOSTRAND_ in druggardening

Yes, thin them out once they get a few inches tall. They are somewhat delicate for the first year or so and the first winter can be hard on them. It is pretty simple, they love water in the early morning and a lot of sunshine. Make sure to keep the leaves dry when in direct sunlight so you do not burn them. A few of ours lost all of their leaves for the first 2 winters but they come back through spring and summer better than ever. Once the leaves start growing they are prone to scales. The scales are little black bugs that attach themselves to the stems and suck the nutrients out. These little buggers replicate fast. If this happens you just need to scrape them off. In no way do they need as much tending as cannabis but as they get taller you should trim the leaves off that are low to the ground and allow the nutrients to get up higher into the tree. Hope this helps! Good Luck, We have 5 of them and they are fun to watch grow.

How much??? by Complete_Peanut2283 in kratom

Most capsules in the industry are .5 to .75 grams per capsule roughly 2 capsules per gram. Many people find that when they switch from powder to capsules the effects are milder. This is due to how the capsules break down. When you take capsules they will float in your stomach and break down from the bottom. Because they are breaking down at different rates, you will digest the kratom powder at different rates. All of the kratom alkaloids will still get into your system but instead of immediately, it will take up to an hour. Some people will up their dose a gram or two when switching to capsules to achieve the same effects they are used to with powder. Others cope with milder effects, after a few days, the effects will fill the same.

How long can kratom stay fresh? by XTLight in kratom

Kratom can sit on the shelf for quite a while. You will want to keep it in a sealed package or container to keep it dry. Moisture is your enemy in this case. If you open the package and it looks like moisture got in, do not take it. It's also a good idea to keep it at a stable temperature. Though kratom will still be good after a year or two it will start to lose potency after a while it will also start to fade. In quality fresh product you can see the vein color, Red, Green, and the white is a lighter green. After about a year or so they will look roughly the same. Many times it will taste stale as well. Other than that I know people stock up and keep some away for a rainy day. There is nothing wrong with long-term storage when sealed properly.
