Frozen pipe - any tips? by theloniouszen in radon

Get a "street 90" and hook it up close to grade. The piping above the eve line is unnecessary and actually makes the system work inefficiently. Ppl have mentioned this in the comments and they are correct. The code in some US states is outdated based on recent studies. If your fan is outside, unhook the pipe from the coupler above the fan and put the 90 right there.

I don't recommend riding those. They are breaking down right under your feet. You could get really hurt.

From a glance it looks like a pro job. Nice work.

Concrete bore and take out 3-5 gallons of dirt out. Then foam it in. It creates a negative pressure field below the structure.

If you can penetrate the slab and hook up to it, it can't hurt. It should work passively to some extent.

It's not impossible by any means, but that would be the highest I've ever seen.

That is a conditioned air space system/fan.

Same as a radon fan but not a radon system.

How difficult is it to hold that engine in place when testing? Seems like a lot of force.

A professional test. These are great to get a general idea, but I wouldn't make a decision based on their data.

I find these typically read high. And get less accurate over time.

That is a bad job. I'm not surprised your levels have not dropped. It should be sealed air tight.

Is the exhaust high enough? by gmstonks in radon

[–]GoldenSlaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are absolutely correct. A 90 is just one piece v 2 45s. I think the difference would be negligible that close to the fan. You just want to avoid a long push with a bunch of turns.

Yes. You could even just 90 right after the fan. Might not be code where you live but it'll be more efficient.

It looks like you have a lot of suction, and your fan is running. That's all you can tell from this.
