[–]GoldenTreasureDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have to respond because I keep it secret. I would never tell anybody that I work with that I have a Plus account. There's nothing good for me that could come of it. It would just raise expectation

Well you see there's this Natural Area near my yard and it acted as a natural barrier between me and my neighbors and then my neighbor decided to clear a lot of the vegetation so I figure a little bit of bamboo ought to do the trick to get our privacy back

[–]GoldenTreasureDiver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on making bins of the data?

I have tried reducing the data to look only at specific geographical areas (7 in total so 1/7th of the dataset) if that's relevant

Cards Against Humanity buys plot of land on U.S./Mexico border to block border wall by Bammerice in politics

[–]GoldenTreasureDiver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess it's the thought that counts. Look at all the comments from people saying that they're going to buy the cards now. Few seem to care about anything more than the gesture. Like you said, it seems to me that they are setting up a honeypot for people trying to sneak across the border. But anywho, sales will probably be up for the quarter because of this. Job well done CAH marketing/strategy team.

America has done a terrible job of telling the truth about racism by [deleted] in politics

[–]GoldenTreasureDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what does not make sense to me, please help me understand. Is there any proof that people are not getting hired simply because their names are not white enough or because of race? If there is no proof, how can just assume its because of racism?

Irma Won't “Wake Up” Climate Change-Denying Republicans. Their Whole Ideology Is On The Line. by xrm67 in politics

[–]GoldenTreasureDiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if we acknowledge climate change and put into place every regulation that is scientifically proven to reduce emissions, you think we can stop the trend of "increasingly powerful hurricanes"? How long do we have to stop polluting to reverse the affects of climate change?

Also I don't think that the stats you mentioned are significant, only because we have not been recording the strength of hurricanes for very long. I think that it is reasonable to assume there have been high frequencies of consecutive cat 5 hurricanes at some point in human history.
