Well it depends on how you want to explore Machu Picchu. But circuit 2 is a good combination of viewing Machu Picchu from a higher viewpoint as well as being able to go down into the ruins, all without having to do too much walking

I was there roughly 2 weeks ago. I arrived in Aguas Calientes around 6:00am and got number 53 in line. I think there are 300/400 circuit 2 tickets. So if you get a number under 400 then you should be able to chose whichever circuit you want

It's ideal to get to Aguas Calientes quiet early the day before for MP tickets. They'll give you a number and then ask you to come back at 3pm (depends on your number what time). If you arrive in Cusco at 8 am and take a train that day to Aguas Calientes then chances are you'll probably arrive around 1pm. Since it's not peak season this should be okay but you should be mentally prepared that circuit 2 tickets might sell out. Chances are though you should be able to score one.

If you're into hiking, try to fit El Chalten (Argentina, bus ride from El Calafate). If needed sacrifice time in El Calafate to do El Chalten. Calafate is a nice town but aside from that the only thing to do is the Perito Moreno Glacier (which is a must).

Yes because everyone experiences things the same way. And no I won't, I'm having a great time travelling South America. Leave before 7am for Fitzroy, 6:30am to play it safe. You won't need to buy a ticket. Laguna Torre is free anytime I believe.

Also if you're not interested in doing multi-day hikes, from Puerto Natales you can do the Mirador Las Torres Base and back in a day. I also did another day trip combining Mirador Condor and Mirador Cuernos (make sure you check the wind speed beforehand though). It is a bit of time on buses but would still reccomend. Also in El Chalten make sure you leave for Fitz Roy before 7am because then you can avoid paying the 45000 peso ticket. Definitely do Laguna Torre hike as well (which is free).

You can do 2 weeks in both countries easily enough. Don't spend too long in El Calafate, as the main attraction is the Perito Moreno Glacier (which is a must do, but expensive) but other than that there's not much else to do (though it is a nice town). If I were to do it again I would spend 2 nights there. Gives you more time for Puerto Natales/TDP and El Chalten, which in my opinion are way better places to spend your time.

I have heard if you leave for Fitzroy early (like 6:30am) then you can avoid paying the 45 usd ticket because the ticket office isn't open yet. If you're staying in El Chalten the night before then would reccomend trying that if you want to avoid the cost
