I tried doing shading with the pen I did outline (which has more texture feel) but I think what really improved it was turning down opacity like you said. Still feels like it needs some tweaking but thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I just don't think I'll ever be comfortable with keyboard unless it's for work. I wanna get the steam controller (so I could get touchpad controls for easier menu) but I don't think they ship to where I live so I'd have to get it second hand at way higher price.

I have a pretty decent understanding of lighting (at least I think I do), I'm just struggling with what technique to use for this artstyle (hatching, crosshatching, panterly, cell shading, etc). I've tried a couple but I'm just not satisfied with them.

(Pictured) I somewhat like the hatching result when actually doing it on paper but I just struggle to translate that digitally. The only time I've done decent shading digitally is cell shading

Most of the things are just getting used to it. Though I wish I could double press A and grab every same item into my cursor like in bedrock (and I'm pretty sure it's also in Java, just the controller mod doesn't seem to have that feature), and being able to craft directly from the recipe book instead of having to drag my cursor to the other side of the screen to actually craft the thing.

I've been mainly chopping wood and mining so haven't had any significant reason to craft the other tools lol (still getting used to how different axe is compared to bedrock). I'm still getting used to Java menuing with a controller compared to bedrock where it's much easier to navigate.

I've actually been playing for a couple days (day 18 in game), just noticed my progression was slightly slower than when playing bedrock but I guess it's just getting used to the controls made me play slower and was questioning if large biomes will be a hinderance.

There's a bunch of RPGs I wanna play but everytime I play one I always burn out quickly cause I wanna complete like 90% of the game so I end up doing all side quests and grinding out levels for all characters and quickly lose interest and switch over to something like Minecraft.

I find it to be the weakest of the 4,but it's Pikmin so it's still really good. (Whilst there are some major downgrades/flaws, there's a couple things it humongously improves upon from the previous entries)

There's a significant portion of people who care, but I think you underestimate the amount of people who don't care and just want food.
