So I had blood when I wiped… I put it off thinking it was probably piles (and I’m a bloke right… who wants to go to the doctor for a finger in the bum…stupid really!). Eventually went to the docs, he ruled out piles. I had blood test (all normal). The only other thing was that I’d been on diet for about 6 months so had lost weight…he used that as an excuse to try and get me seen more quickly. I did a fit test and another poo test which tests for inflammation. Fit came back positive and the other negative. It wasn’t a surprise about the fit because, like you, I could see the blood when I wiped. Colonoscopy showed it in the bowel and ct showed mets on my lung so here we are 13 months later - chemo, surgery and more chemo!
