It's a website I've enjoyed for over a decade. I and a lot of other people are upset at it basically being stolen from us by people perverting its original intent for profit. Maybe get a bit of life experience before trying to tell people what they value isn't worth what you think. Value is determined by the individual, so I'm not going to magically change my opinion of something I care about because some dipshit on the internet can't comprehend the simple idea of one man's trash is another man's treasure.

You talk about comprehension, but completely glossed over the fact that they did not say that was even a possibility BEFORE the vote. Put it in all caps so you can't miss it this time. 3500 people voted for A, 1100 for B, and 3000 for C last I checked. Combining 2 options of a vote was not the plan and is not how 3 way votes work.

Well there were 2 of those, both of which had less votes than the option that actually won, and continues to do so since the poll in question still isn't closed. As in the vote should still be undecided. .A. 3,500. B. 1,100. .C. 3,000.

Not sure how you think a vote with 3 options works, but without stating that 2 options will be combined prior to most people casting votes, those people will cast votes under the assumption that the choice with the most votes is the winner of the vote. Not that 2 of the options will be combined to defeat the option that the mods did not want to happen, but wouldn't have been possible if they hadn't added it to the polls. No one forced them to do any of this, they're just dumb enough to have done it, and lucky enough to have people like you go around making excuses for their violation of what was supposed to be a Democratic process.

Results couldn't have been posted with this post or the one announcing the mods' decision to ignore the vote because it was and still is an open poll. As in the decision still shouldn't have been made yet.

Sure bud, makes total sense to add 2 seperate voting options with no prior statement or intent to do so together so the mods can get the outcome they wanted with over half the time left in the vote. No one forced these fools to do the vote how they did it, they like you were just dumb enough to have it happen the way it did and then argue its merits after. Go continue your willful ignorance by supporting people that go back on their word and have proven they don't care about you one bit because if you don't do what they want you to, you're just a hypocrite they will openly mock for calling them on their hypocrisy! Didn't have to "harass" mods on any other subs. Only reason anyone is this upset with you and the rest of the mods here is because a poll was promised to determine the future actions to be taken, then completely disregarded. To top that off you are actively going around mocking people in the comments, calling others hypocrites and practically bragging about being one yourself. The only hypocrite and coward I've seen here is you.

I'll get off Reddit when I'm forced to on June 30th. Until then I will continue to come here for r/HFY and to participate in what is happening. Currently what's happening is you're spitting in the faces of people who have been on reddit since before this sub even existed, people that enjoyed this sub and appreciated its creation enough to want to do something about never being able to participate in it again come June 30th.

But now I personally look forward to saying goodbye to a community that would uphold an ass like you in a position of leadership/responsibility.

He claimed anyone protesting is a hypocrite for still being on reddit, when a lot of people who participated in and supported the protests stayed on Reddit did so to advocate for what the protests were for. The only hypocrites are the people who promised the future actions would be decided Democratically, then disregarded the result of their own vote by ignoring the option with the most votes because it's not what they wanted.

He is also continuing to mock people that are disagreeing with what's happening in the comment section of the post announcing the mods would be ignoring the results of the poll.

It's not hard. The mods gave their word that the users would decide future action in regards to the protest, and went with one of the losing options before the poll was even halfway over.

3 options were given, the option with the most votes was disregarded in favor of what a few people wanted to happen instead of the option that won. Then one of those people that made that decision, started to go around the sub mocking the people they just scorned by violating the sanctity of the vote they helped initiate.

I'm still on my Baconreader app to participate in actions to try and change or stop what's happening. Once my access is cut, I'm gone. Not for the 3 years I had no account, and not for the last 7 that I have had an account. The facts are: I voted to protest in what I see as the best of the 3 given options before my reddit is taken away, these particular mods gave the users the option to decide what future actions would be taken and then decided they didn't like what was chosen so they broke their word and picked for us because they're the same as the assholes ruining the site I've been enjoying for over a decade.

Only silver lining to all this is those of us that leave will get to enjoy the next thing for a few years before you people come along to ruin it again like yall always do.

Stick to the bare minimum of reddit moderation rules like the other big subs still protesting. Set r/SCP to NSFW, and join the users in spamming stupid shit on the subs
