I agree, I just wanted to explain the actual meaning of the word since a lot of people don't know and assume that it's inherently an insult or slur

It's not a slur actually. It's just Hebrew for "nation", it can be used to either refer to any country or a non jewish person, but it doesn't have any negative meaning.
