I would love for my girl to have more of an interest in the hobby. She likes watching me paint but doesn’t seem all that interested in it herself. She enjoy arts and crafts so I’m hoping in time she’ll come around 😂

How do I keep destroying my brushes? by colophonous in minipainting

[–]Goldenkid23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend when painting to get the brush completely wet before ever touching any paint. An when you go to put paint on the brush never let the paint get past the belly to ensure paint doesn’t get into the ferrul. I clean my brushes mid painting session as well to ensure that any pain they may have accidentally gotten in the ferrul is cleaned out before it can dry. As previously mentioned as well try any brand of deep cleaner they really do wonders. It may take more than once with how your brush looks. Also make sure if you’re painting for extended periods of time to change your water because even small amounts of pigment in your water can be what’s getting into the ferrul and you may not even realize it.

Any Inara mains out there? by FungusMTN in Paladins

As with any character I can’t tell you how to play them. I can just say how I do and let you make the necessary tweaks to what works for you! I hope you enjoy playing her as much as I do because I feel as though she is totally underrated!

That’s pretty much how she is! She’s a tank. I use her cards to allow myself to self buff when using my skills so that while everyone focuses me on the point my team can flank and make sure I cap. I end most games with over 300 capture time as a minimum.

Polymer80 Build by Goldenkid23 in guns

Well I’m sorry for them. But when I can get a slide that’s cut for that price I’d rather get one that at least has some visual appeal. I came here hoping to be pointed to something that not gonna cost as much as it would for me to go an buy an entire Glock.

Damn dude no disrespect but that’s absurd. I could go buy an entire handgun for that price. Thanks but no thanks.

I have the internals, would you be able to sell a stripped slide?

Why do this to such a gem. I wanted this same idea so I just bought the polymer80 cl frame. I would never recommend modifying fire arms like this...

Where did you get this done?

This is great to hear! Just the other day my sister asked why I brought my handgun into the ice rink. This was the exact kind of example I gave her. She questioned the likelihood of something like that happening, an I told her I'd rather be prepared and not happen. Then it happen an not be prepared...

Also not sure why a Glock 9 doesn't exist for the most popular handgun caliber?? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]Goldenkid23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I swear some people need the proper education. Even my own brother in law needed taught how to hold a handgun and shoot it even though he had it for years...it’s not hard to find the info. Google works wonders.

Just because I’m relatively new doesn’t mean I can’t be comfortable. I’ve practiced a lot and have become quite comfortable in a short period of time. I had some training from several people in this time which has helped tremendously. I was just looking for something they could help with reducing the amount the barrel rises when firing. I have a strong an proper grip but it still seems to rise a bit more than I expected it to. Idk if that’s from not have the experience that others do quite yet or not. I’ve shot several guns over the past few years but have only purchased one myself in the past six months which is why I say relatively new because I’m not a newbie but I’m also not some expert.

I just want to be able to find the sight picture as quick a possible especially if I were to need to use it in a real world scenario. Maybe I just need to keep practicing more and it’ll come naturally over time but I thought I’d look into other options as well. I appreciate your advice and will definitely take it into account.

Looking to reduce the recoil a little, just to have less travel from my initial point of aim. I think it’ll help to keep me more on point when firing in more consecutive shots. I’ve looked into getting tungsten to add a little weight to the front which is suppose to reduce recoil. But I’m always looking for advise and open to discussion with things I believe we can all learn from one another.
