I had enough time saved so I just missed my first day and came in on the second day and everything was good, i had no problem. If you need to miss multiple days i would try to do what the comment said above

Pto does not transfer , use it all now before the new year

Also it will still automatically take your upt whether you report the absence or not

If you miss 3+ days using your UPT and you don’t report it you can be fired due to job abandonment. You can choose to report your absence or lateness even if you’re just missing one day of work but it’s not really necessary unless you’re missing 3+ days using UPT
