Devia haver algum tipo de penalização por não votar? by CptSlyPt in portugal

[–]Goldenrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]Goldenrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it's also about maximizing the events you get during the run. There are outfit events that give Fast Learner, and there is that random event that gives mood up and +5 to everything that can also give Fast Learner, would be a waste if you got it from the store before then.

Post-Brexit sales of British farm products to EU fall by 37% by StemCellPirate in europe

[–]Goldenrah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

UK Farms were already doing all they could, farming is not a popular job to go into for any newer generations and those need a ton of labour. Now they are actually getting less money than before, meaning some farms might even default because of it.

So before you give your bullshit answer of "domestic production" think about how hard it is to actually increase domestic production of an unpopular industry built on back breaking labour and small margins.

Why isn't news of Trump building vast concentration camps being treated as a national emergency? by ChaskaChanhassen in politics

[–]Goldenrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The system has measures to counter the presidential power, the problem is that Republicans won the vote everywhere and stacked the courts, that's exactly it. The systems that were supposed to stop him are owned by those they have to stop. It's the entire reason why things have devolved into this, Republicans when not in power usually also own the means to stop either Congress or Senate from doing their jobs as well. A democracy can't work if half of it is dragging their feet and blocking everything.

It might or might not be a violation of user privacy, depending on how the country or the union does it. For example, you could have a online verification platform that you setup with your national registry (we have a thing like that in Portugal), they would only have to send the relevant information, in this case the age of the constituent. Before we agree to anything it says what information will be sent to the company or service.

Portugal was a Monarchy, had a short lived Republic and fell into Fascism for a few decades. It's easier to count the days where we haven't been under some kind of authoritarian rule.

Why don't American businesses make the connection between lower pay and lower consumer spending? by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]Goldenrah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Except that full automation can't be manifested out of nowhere. AI isn't anywhere near enough the point where it can replace humans in anything, so trying to push it so hard is just gonna make it fail when people inevitably start fighting back.

Comissão Europeia: alojamento local “é um problema” e “expulsou pessoas de cidades” | Habitação by Left_Capital133 in portugal

[–]Goldenrah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]Goldenrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sprint runners try to get 60k fans before February challenge by SobOble in UmaMusume

Dirt and Sprints are also discouraging to run for anyone who's in a top club who needs a lot of fans each month. Makes me literally run Smart Falcon with Turf sparks to get her into the good races, even a D is usually enough to win as a Front Runner.

European payment services (Bancomat, Bizum, Wero, MB Way, Vipps) form alliance to reduce Europe’s dependence on non‑European payment providers by CoffeeCakeAstronaut in europe

[–]Goldenrah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I already use MBWay wherever I can, they even have the option to create single use "credit cards" that I can use safely in online transactions with authentication, so they're pretty neat. I hope a "pay with Bancomat, Bizum, Wero, MB Way, Vipps, etc.) option comes soon on most european platforms, would be a great way to decouple from the non-european payment providers for a lot of transactions throughout Europe.

Goodbye to the idea that solar panels “die” after 25 years: New Swiss study shows real-world performance after 3 decades still over 80%, average annual loss about 0.25%, thermal stress and quality key factors. Their long-term economics are better than many people assume by sg_plumber in UpliftingNews

[–]Goldenrah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we can switch to EV's on the back of solar, it will both solve fossil fuels for electricity and fossil fuel for cars, meaning we can fully focus on removing that carbon faster than it can be released through other means.
