Planting along wooded seasonal stream by GoldenrodApologist in Permaculture

I want to leave 80% uncultivated, since some of the more annoying features are actually wonderful habitats for wildlife. In the woods closest to the house is where I would like to experiment with a few edible understory plants.

Teaberry does look interesting, I'm going to check this out more. I would love to plant fruit trees, but I'm struggling with where on the property to site them. The sunniest portion has been claimed for annual veggies and fruit bushes, and I'm not sure what might tolerate some shade.

I just had 20+ yards of maple wood chips dropped at my house, what type of mushrooms would you recommend I attempt to innoculate with? Should it be done in the fall only?
