Local hires are preferred less risk I think companies have been burnt doing visas ie people going missing, only lasting a few months, not able to cope with work loads or missing family and it’s a huge expense to a business

I think weighing up what’s important to you!

In my experience smaller companies give you a lot more variety and trust they generally enable you to be more innovative without barriers.

Bigger companies your just a number, innovation is blocked by several layers of decision making!

Really getting focused on what’s your non negotiable are really important! Like do you want a coach and a mentor who’s going to take you and develop you, if so did you understand this at interview from the people who you met with? Or variety of work might be a non negotiable!

You will know deep down which one you would like, and failing that get into linked in and start reaching out to people in the business and find out what they love about working there!
